I think you have not sat in 2 MKII NAC for 2 consecutive rides at blistering temperature at 1hr per ride. It certainly was not enjoyable. So.......you telling me 74 and 151 not crowded? I guess we Singaporeans are just too pampered with the air-conditioner, or we are just refusing to accept the reality that we are in a tropical climate and is trying to challenge Mother Nature by jacking down our air-conditioners to 18C or even 16C and pretending that we are in some bleak European winter, just as what someone who wrote to the Straits Times forum wrote. When will we realise that this is just simply contributing to global warming, and thus making ourselves hotter? Sigh...
The other thing is, if folks raise such a point, I think it's grossly unfair to call them whiners. And it certainly is not helped by the almost immediate labelling "pampered". If we have room for improvement, then we should improve. Why should we sit back and recall days of less comfort to prove others as whiners?
For myself, NAC buses hardly factor in on what I commute. But I do not relish long NAC rides, and I certainly think it's unfair to call folks who endure such rides as whiners.
Point is........do we have choice? -

last time all buses are NAC, also no one complain..
i just came back from Sri Lanka. Their buses are almost 95 % NAC. and most of them are those old old types (Leyland Ashok / Tata).. Their AC buses are those smaller buses, which look like second hand buses which are imported from dunno where.
Still saw those Leyland Ashok/Tata buses with their gears are those long long types and their engine just beside the driver seat. Like those old old SD that SBS used to have.. -
NAC buses that were over 20 years old are still used in small towns/kampongs in Malaysia too. Pictures below is a kind of old NAC buses still used...

You may say it's pampered... But then again, the way they dispatch the AC buses to rts like 119 instead of long haul rts is really unthinkable...
If feeder rts ppl complain NAC, dun say abt long haul passengers or concession stamp users -

I may be one of them, but I still take NACs sometimes. Two reasons:
1. Service 225 used to be NAC service last time. I remember saying this last time that I detest taking airconed buses because they could chill me until I became ice (that was my thinking when I was seven).
2. NACs are going to be scrapped soon! Treasure them before they are gone.
