So....its for 138 only?Originally posted by 105090:Spokeswoman Ms Tammy replied to a Forum that they are in the process in buying new buses to replace the aging buses on 138 as appropriately..
From TODAY, 30th March

Since you said that, i want a Volvo B7RLE to be bought !Originally posted by MitEvolution:i think they will buy back volvo because they got bussiness realationship.Comfortdelgo has been the exclusive distributor for Volvo.Comfortdelgo also build buses for private company
I'm also interested in the Volvo B12Ms.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Since you said that, i want a Volvo B7RLE to be bought !A B9L will be good too.

All buses registered after 1st june 2006 must be wheelchair accessible. To make a B12M wheelchair accessible requires a wheelchair lift which costs more than a ramp and have high operating costs.Originally posted by TWS4793:I'm also interested in the Volvo B12Ms.
Is B7RLE a Euro 4 ? AND.. IF we have a 12m B7RLE with a full load.. How far do you think the bus can move before it breaks down ?Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Since you said that, i want a Volvo B7RLE to be bought !A B9L will be good too.

Erm....go look at Volvo's Website. It says that it can meet Euro3/4/5 (incentive) standards. Sentosa's B7RLE arent Euro4.Originally posted by sBs_boy:Is B7RLE a Euro 4 ? AND.. IF we have a 12m B7RLE with a full load.. How far do you think the bus can move before it breaks down ?
I won't say the B7Rs would breakdown, rather, wouldn't perform as well. As you can see, many of the Sentosa B7Rs are rattling quite badly. Call it poor maintenance, lack of maintenance, I don't know. Overworked? Perhaps.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Erm....go look at Volvo's Website. It says that it can meet Euro3/4/5 (incentive) standards. Sentosa's B7RLE arent Euro4.
A 12m B7RLE with full load breaks down? Excuse me, the Sentosa's B7RLEs are usually at full capacity. Last week i went to Sentosa the bus already Full load, yet it can climb hills with no problems.
If SBST chooses a 12m B9L, its gonna go with the 260bhp 9 litre engine. Unless the company opts for the more powerful 310bhp engine, which isn't really practical for a 12m bus. FYI, the 260bhp engine produces 1100nm of torque where the B7RLE's D7E engine produces 1200nm at 290bhp. So which do you think SBST will choose?
If SBST buys King Long, maybe the bus cannot move at full load lah.![]()
Then maybe SBST choose B12BLE?Originally posted by Scania:All buses registered after 1st june 2006 must be wheelchair accessible. To make a B12M wheelchair accessible requires a wheelchair lift which costs more than a ramp and have high operating costs.
Also, B12Ms (and later batches of B10Ms) are meant to be coaches, few bus companies would buy a B12M for city services.Originally posted by TWS4793:I'm also interested in the Volvo B12Ms.
The Sentosa B7RLEs are Midis, 10.3m.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Erm....go look at Volvo's Website. It says that it can meet Euro3/4/5 (incentive) standards. Sentosa's B7RLE arent Euro4.

Your statement is technically and logically incorrect. Which law stated that all buses registered after 1st june 2006 must be wheelchair accessible? None!Originally posted by Scania:All buses registered after 1st june 2006 must be wheelchair accessible. Its the PUBLIC buses which need to be wheelchair accessible. Not ALL buses.LTA:LTA has required all new public buses registered in Singapore from 2006 to be wheelchair-accessible.
Ah forgot to clarify that, in this case I was referring to TWS's context of SBS buses, thanks for that.Originally posted by XiaoTaro:Its the PUBLIC buses which need to be wheelchair accessible. Not ALL buses.
sentosa buses operate from morning to night ... Dont expect them to maintance everyday. Doesnt this applies to SBST as well ??Originally posted by MitEvolution:sentosa buses operate from morning to night ... Dont expect them to maintance everyday. At least they maintaince twice a month or something
