Some Daewoo buses are fitted with Cummins engine, therefore they might just sound like the Lances which use similar engines. I would personally hate to see SBST purchase from anyone other than the "big five" - EvoBus, Irisbus, Scania, M.A.N., or Volvo.
By the way, Mercedes-Benz has a new "low-entry" articulated bus chassis called the O 500 UA!

Once again, SMRT may have alot of Merdz in their fleet. But that doesnt mean that they'll have to buy Merdz again. The choice is free for them to choose. I suspect its a coach chassis.. Doesn't look like low floor at least to me.. lately so many Malaysian tour operators buying new buses.. and CDGE does coach bodywork too.. buy scania coach chassis then send to CDGE for bodying is very possible what...

i recognise it as a Scania K/UB-series with that air filter cylinder behind the rear axle. likely a K230UB with DC9-16 Euro IV Diesel I-5 engine. just need to noe where the radiator is.
