Marbok Tan is it?I hope BBT/CCK & BPJ hand over to SBST and in return BTM/HBF/KRT/BVT/CLM given to SMRTBOriginally posted by phillipC:Is all the fault of Malboro Tan! Give this service to the TIBS then!
For the benefits of Bt Panjang, please return this service to SBST, WAB buses will denifitely be deployed!
Later we'll see complains on Sv 96Originally posted by carbikebus:Marbok Tan is it?I hope BBT/CCK & BPJ hand over to SBST and in return BTM/HBF/KRT/BVT/CLM given to SMRTB
142 is right smack controlled by bram, do you think SBST would let SMRT control the town their HQ is in?Originally posted by Manager433:A little suggestion. SMRT service 190 exchange for SBST service 142.![]()
Can be done, if the clocks can be turned back to 1999, the year Marbok Tan gave the NEL tender to SBS(T).Originally posted by Y_Shun:will it be change back under sbst ?!?!?!
lets see....
Yucks, that means no more VO3X in CLE Int. Give them HGN/SKG/PGL instead. The latter 2 were set aside for Tibs to expand back in 1995.Originally posted by carbikebus:Marbok Tan is it?I hope BBT/CCK & BPJ hand over to SBST and in return BTM/HBF/KRT/BVT/CLM given to SMRTB
Here's what should have happened back in 1999:Originally posted by Scania:SMRT bendies put wrong service, 180 and 184 don't need bendies, just need to add bus (but then again they only have that 800+ buses), they don't know how to prioritize where to put their bendies. 171 seems screwed up, at Orchard the buses are packed, but at Bukit Panjang you see 171 coming one after another after a long wait, first one would usually be fully seated with a few standees, the rest near empty. 190 is an extreme case, where you have a shortage. 179 faces this also, but 179 case can be tackled more easily than 190 because 179 doesn't go through busy city roads until it reaches NTU, where mini jams may occur, and demand for 179 is slightly lower than 190 at peak.
No matter how SMRT wants to push people to their trains, residents of BPJ would and should take the buses, because there is simply no point of taking a LRT and transferring to MRT when it takes 1 hour+ and you need to wait several times, when you can just wait for one bus which brings you to city in 30 mins. Bukit Panjang's transport system is screwed up by SMRT and LTA, since its main transportation mode is the bus, that white elephant LRT is just a complement trying its best to surpass buses as its main mode of transport.
The problem is that Dr Teo's challenger came from a discredited party (Ling How Doong - SDP).Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:The LRT just seals the fate for us.
Bukit Panjang has a nice and good person, Dr Teo Ho Pin, but has a poor transport operator.![]()
Give HGN to TIBS?Hmm...imo HGN seems too big a responsibility for TIBS, especially with the fact that in 1999, tibs was a much smaller company than it is in the 2000sOriginally posted by iveco:Here's what should have happened back in 1999:
SMRT retained subway monopoly.
SBS took back BPJ while giving control of HGN to Tibs instead.
On the whole, BBT/CCK residents suffered more than SKG/PGL ones due to the NEL ownership issue.![]()
Well, they took over twice as many routes in BBT/CCK as compared to those they already operated in NE side.Originally posted by simnatic:Give HGN to TIBS?Hmm...imo HGN seems too big a responsibility for TIBS, especially with the fact that in 1999, tibs was a much smaller company than it is in the 2000s
Have to tell them last time under SBS so much betterOriginally posted by TIB1062Y:TIBS took over Hougang? That will be worst especially when currently SMRT Buses Ltd buying over TIBS Holdings Ltd.. Service 147 will suffer the most if it's ever controlled by SMRT Buses as now they already have a very very hard time managing its deployment for Service 190.. Same goes for Service 74 and 27.. And when ZB called me to contact a staff from SMRT Buses, I told her that Service 190 with a frequency of 5 minutes per bus during peak hours is very very slow, given the type of demand this service has, and to think that she told me that 5 mins for peak period is very GOOD le.. (as if...) Grrr..
5 Mins per bus you say no good?Even advanced countries like Germany hardly had 5-7 mins per bus let alone off peakOriginally posted by TIB1062Y:TIBS took over Hougang? Thats why singapore citizens really do take sg bus transport for granted . But ofcuz, those we had to wait for 20mins is ofcuz sucks.Originally posted by carbikebus:5 Mins per bus you say no good?Even advanced countries like Germany hardly had 5-7 mins per bus let alone off peak
Whack you, why so, then no more VO3x in Hougang and hgdep serves no purpose, KJDEP serves no purpose. Its inefficient to do so. Where have your logic go?Originally posted by iveco:Yucks, that means no more VO3X in CLE Int. Give them HGN/SKG/PGL instead. The latter 2 were set aside for Tibs to expand back in 1995.
THe demise of TIbs Holdings was bad. I will never forget the poor decisions that led to it.Originally posted by TIB1062Y:TIBS took over Hougang? WLDEP was built because of the NW for NE swap. KJDEP originally controlled WDL routes fro Day 1.Originally posted by Scania:Whack you, why so, then no more VO3x in Hougang and hgdep serves no purpose, KJDEP serves no purpose. Its inefficient to do so. Where have your logic go?
Your guess is wrong for the PAP fan part.Originally posted by iveco:WLDEP was built because of the NW for NE swap. KJDEP originally controlled WDL routes fro Day 1.
Anyway, your posts here and @ SinBus see to suggest you are a PAP fan.
Did you kinow that Marbok Tan is the most inept minister in the Cabinet? I am surprised that PAP didn't axe him from their lineup after he lost to CST in 1984 GE.
I am not saying that the changes should be made today. The damage is already done and impossible to reverse.Originally posted by Scania:Your guess is wrong for the PAP fan part.
You think about this, if you have WLDEP to control Woodlands, why would you need KJDEP to control Woodlands? And which depot will control Hougang when AMDEP is full.
And what will hgdep control if Hougang gets controlled by SMRT?
The North East line is doing fine, in fact its frequency is better than our NSL and EWL, ceteris paribus, SBST would not be willing to give NEL away,
