How abotu service 3? i heard that u must board at the Int to go to Tampines while when u want to got to Punggol must board it outside the Int lol. and btw i dunno it got go inside Pasir Ris int 2 times??

Last time, they used to have different colours, so quite easy to tell. Now the colours the same, I almost took the wrong bus. Same for 136.
For buses around Serangoon Garden, it actually doesn't matter so much. Their routes are pretty short, you just have to take from one end to the other end and back. At the most pay more...
btw, I think 112, 113 and 115 also considered weird, especially 115 since it's really a "one-way" service.

A rationalisation in 1974 made the route less insane:

I wonder if the old route 182 that later became one of TIBS' early bus routes grew out of this 182. Compare the above with this, taken from the 1979/80 vus guide:

I would think they cut back the bus route from Shenton Way to New Bridge Road at the CBD end, and extended it to the then-developing Woodlands at the Bukit Timah end, some time between 1974 and 1979. -
Sv 980's route along downtown area oso very weird
Firstly, the bus turns into North Bridge Rd and Jln Sultan instead of going straight to Beach Road along Crawford St.
Secondly, the bus turns into Victoria St and Rochor Rd when heading towards Sembawang. However during its return trip it takes Bencoolen St instead of heading straight along Sungei Rd, Ophir Rd n turn down Victoria St. -

Towards Crawford St, the bus will travel along its current route, then turn down to Bencoolen St and will go all the way down to Bras Basah Rd, then turn left to Victoria St pass by the Allison Hotel, then turn right again to Middle Road and then Beach Road to continue on to Crawford St Terminal.
Towards Admiralty Road West, the bus will travel down along North Bridge Road, turn right to Arab St just outside the Golden Landmark Hotel, all the way down to Bencoolen St, turn right to Middle Road, right again to Selegie Road across Peace Centre and will turn left again to Rochor Road and then continue its current route to Admiralty Road West Terminal.
I also remember that service 160 along Bencoolen St had 2 bus stops with different plates: one indicates "160 - towards Admiralty Road West" while another bus stop further down indicates "160 - towards Crawford Street". -

From Toa Payoh to Siglap, it enters MacPherson Estate and makes one big round, then it goes back to Aljunied Road, goes to Geylang East, then it goes to Paya Lebar. Why can't 155 just skip MacPherson Estate? Or at least it should follow the 135 route - from MacPherson Estate, go directly to Paya Lebar Road...

155 provides a direct link between Macpherson estate and Geylang East estate. Other than that its also an old route when last time Circuit Link wasnt even around (that's when Sv 6x terminates at the food centre). 63 cannot be edited at the ubi area because it's the only bus service. i wouldn;t mind having it like 80 whereby it goes by geylang east. as for 155, i thyink going inside the estate is for nothing because it wastes time and there are limited passengers. ppl who wanna go to eunos would rather take 154.

when 131 have mostly MKIV DM and DM3500, rectangle desto were used, do that have red and white for one direction then white and red for the other direction. also, since 131 do not use rectangle side desto, do the side cards states like this: St Michaels's (red colour) via blah blah blah (white colour) for one direction and another direction: Bukit Merah (white colour) via blah blah blah (red colour). does it follow this format? do the people taking 131 in bt purmei ave get confused with the direction.
i feel 162's route is a bit weird, it just makes one big round, take an example for 13. if you are taking a 13 in bishan going to yck, 162 comes, it goes to shenton way, 13 going to UEC rd, 162 goes to yck, contradict one another, 130 also contradict 162, except near sin ming rd, where both directions towards thomson rd leads to shenton way. -

961C, use the same bus stop at Raffles Blvd(Pan Pacific Hotel) on both direction.
Sometimes SL didn't change the EDS, don't know the bus is heading towards Geylang Lor 1 or Woodlands.
