i remember some time ago, one forumite actually posted a thread about Grassland's coach service, putting customers' lives at risk.Originally posted by nightzip:Grassland is good. I always use Grassland coaches to and fro KL, genting to sg.
Hmm this reminds me of something. I was on a MAN coach from 777 tours . A car infront of us slowed down suddenly and our BC just swerve left and right to try avoid it WITHOUT using the brakes. It happened during a rainstorm somemore. Our uncle say we are lucky, if not arh .... langa into the railing, the consequences is unimaginable. Yikes !Originally posted by browniebaobao:i remember some time ago, one forumite actually posted a thread about Grassland's coach service, putting customers' lives at risk.
Can't remember where's the thread tho.
Maybe it is advisable to pay more to travel with the company known for its good reputation.Originally posted by Paranoia08:Hi,

That's right. No matter how reputable or excellent the coach company is, if the conditions are right for an accident, it will happen. Transtar Express is reputable, but its coaches aren't spared from accidents as well. So does Transnasional, Grassland, Konsortium, Five Stars and the rest of the big boys.Originally posted by ninefold9:Maybe it is advisable to pay more to travel with the company known for its good reputation.
Good reputation would mean the coach company maintains its fleet of coaches well with regular maintainenance, the conditions of its tyres and track record of drivers it hires.
There again there is no gaurantee your journey will be absolutelysafe from dangers. Once on the road, anything can happen.
If the reputation of the best coach company still worries you, then don't go at all.

[b]Singaporean dies in accident in Malaysia
A Singaporean woman who was on her way to Cameron Highlands died in an accident early Friday morning.
Her tour bus was travelling to the highland region 20 kilometres east of Ipoh when it collided with a container lorry.
The 40-year-old woman died after sustaining head injuries.
Three others were injured.
The remaining 20 Singaporean tourists on the bus escaped unhurt.
According to Singapore's Foreign Affairs Ministry, the body of the dead woman has been brought back to Singapore.
All Singaporeans involved in the accident have also returned.
