Are the openings actually real openings or just for decoration? Buses like 1784R and 1833H have the "vents" missing. And behind it is just plain metal with a few holes here and there.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:From the front, apart from their respective manufacturer's sysmbol, the N113 and O405 looked the same. On the B10M, however, there are openings to let the air flow into the radiator.
The first thing you may see here is the shape of the bus-actually it means how they are moulded to form the body shape.Originally posted by SBS9806J:Mercedes-Benz O405

What is/are the difference(s) of the WA bodies on the buses above?
Macam like use my points and then elaborate.Originally posted by TWS4793:The first thing you may see here is the shape of the bus-actually it means how they are moulded to form the body shape.
For a Volvo B10M MKII WA, notice that the front grille is significantly larger than the Scania and Mercedes counterparts. It looks as if it is not fully covered, whereas the Scanias and Mercs had it look as if it was partially covered. (That was the reason for my preference to Scania N113CRB than to the MKIIs because the front of the MKII looks ugly.)

Have you seen the size of that bus ? it is almost big enough to cover 2 lanes of the road.Originally posted by dfs24:I was wondering why buses like the cobus 3000, or the older model cobus 300 are not used in public transport company. It seems quite powerful, high capacity and low floor. Is it price? or performance? Instead this buses are mainly used in airports as shuttle buses from terminal to remote stand.
it was heard that it did a night shift on S174 once. Never perm on that service and its perm on 105. Its NOT the first service 2992 went into service onOriginally posted by chickenlittle2:SBS 2992A was former svc 174?
Hmm , that 1702C is i think SL SP before moving on to HG .. seen it once on 252 last year...Originally posted by SBS2671B:Btw, was SBS1702C ever a S192 perm during its short stint at SL last year?? SGwiki says so (may not be accurate).
yesOriginally posted by BusSpeeder:I have a question:
Since Bukit Purmei Avenue loops at the end and the only trunk service passing by there is 131 (since 123 and 275 is loop service), do 131 pass by Bukit Purmei Ave's 2 bus stops with one going to St Michaels and one going to Bukit Merah? Just want to ask since I've never taken 131 before,
Both directions stop at both stops.Originally posted by BusSpeeder:I have a question:

Yes, it was temporary 192 perm. 1784R was long term MIA. When 1784R came back, this bus got transfered back to HG.Originally posted by SBS2671B:Btw, was SBS1702C ever a S192 perm during its short stint at SL last year?? SGwiki says so (may not be accurate).
Yes, I have seen it. In fact I just took it from a remote stand to the airport terminal in Los Angeles. However, it seemed quite normal sized on the tarmac. Maybe its because the planes near by made it look big. Does anyone know the if cobus or any other bus company makes articulated airport buses too? I sat on a articulated one, which was also low floor but with a high rear (like the CNG) supposedly to house the engine.Originally posted by sBs_boy:Have you seen the size of that bus ? it is almost big enough to cover 2 lanes of the road.
The main radiator vent would be at the centre. The smaller side vents are supplementary openings, I guess. Some old NAC buses do have these 'side' vents, the Volvo B57 and the MB OF1417, for example. How much these smaller vents contribute to the radiator's performance is unknown. But the fact that these smaller vents are being sealed up, I guess its insignificant.Originally posted by stooper:Are the openings actually real openings or just for decoration? EDIT: lol... just in case, I'm referring to the opening above the headlights, not the one between the headlights.
Some VO2x also have missing/sealed up vents.![]()
