I asked the BC of 9049C last time, when the bus couldn't be switched off. See Accident & Breakdown thread, last post on page 2. He said the bus won't run out of fuel so easily. He said the bus could run for 2 days without refueling!Originally posted by jetabt767400:Question: How much fuel does a bus carry?
What I thought: Can 'tahan' one full day with a tank? And plus its like burning so much fuel due to load and so on...
Yeah, he said the fuel tank is very big!Originally posted by jetabt767400:I see, hmm, nice info, yeah, I did saw the one about the engine not able to switch off, one indeed interesting case.
Hmm, one to two days? That must be long man, haha, normally for one large car (I only heard because I don't own a car myself) is about 80 litres of tank
Talking about service timesheets, does anyone know what the last 2 letters of the Index number represent? The part after the ( bracket.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:For dual depot controls,
does 1A start with the MAJORITY CONTROL depot of the service?

well 1A starts from Eunos Int at 0500...Originally posted by SBS9889U:I think Eunos Int first Sv154 bus is 0500 but Boon Lay at 0530 does have affect Shift 1A starting from where. Not very sure though.
Not at all. How they assign duty codes whereby earlier duty codes are for this depot and the later ones for that depot is one puzzling thing. I believe its opinionated.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:For dual depot controls,

First depot denotes earlier duty codes while 2nd depot denotes later duty codes
S5 - ar bn
200 litres?Originally posted by stooper:Yeah, he said the fuel tank is very big!
But I forgot to ask him why some services like 30 need to refuel midday even though the tanks so big. Next time I ask him...![]()
index number has no relation to the duty code arrangement, though i once believed it is so. "bnar" in the index number tells you the depot that provides buses for the service, or probably the T1 T2 thing cos its Pasir Ris - Bt Merah.Originally posted by SBS9806J:I thought I saw bnar?
The part which states the depot that provides the most bus svc for tat svc may not be true. Coz 156 is bbhg while actually in fact hg provides the most buses.Originally posted by service_238:index number has no relation to the duty code arrangement, though i once believed it is so. 1. Restickered buses normally have shiny and smooth surfaces, however, you still may see patches (or rough) surfaces of the previous paintwork underneath.Originally posted by TWS4793:1. How can we identify whether a bus has been repainted or restickered? For example, buses that are well polished such as SBS 9299Y, SBS 9422H and SBS 9435X. Do I identify them as restickered?
2. Why does a bus goes back to depot for a while and then come back again? To take something or what? Noticed that it was very common for most of the Service 9 buses. Yesterday I spotted SBS 2716G leaving Bedok Interchange at 1828 hrs, but reappeared in Bedok Interchange at 1854 hrs.
3. Is SBS 2765P former Express 518 perm?
Answer is both. It operates with the perm 2593T as well as having xover buses daily. This is to facillitate the meal break of the driver of 2593T.Originally posted by Kheng Peng:Does sv 275 operates with only SBS2593T everyday or there are cameo or crossover buses daily?
Just like 408 & 409Originally posted by service_238:Answer is both. It operates with the perm 2593T as well as having xover buses daily. This is to facillitate the meal break of the driver of 2593T.
Timings are the 1000/1100hrs hour or the 1730/1830hrs hour.
Here are some other services:Originally posted by 566117:Just like 408 & 409
85 was full hgdep from its harbourfront days to the current yishun route.Originally posted by SBS9276M:Was any of these services, old S85, S86, S87 and S153 dual depot control before?
i think S86 was FULL HGDEP Control before it was fully transferred to become FULL AMDEP Control, i don't think S87 had dual depot control, it has been under HGDEP all this while
Volvo B10M Mark III also but I wish Service 27 has perm Mark III instead of Mark IV.Originally posted by choww:So was S27 full HGDEP or partial HGDEP/BNDEP contaol during Sengkang-Changi Airport days? Scanias did appear on S27 also.
Most of the time, they remove all badges at the rear of bus, especially for ADDs. For LO3x, they remove front badges too (at least for SL).Originally posted by off_service:1.
