98 had VO3x cameo before, at least for IMF when i snapped 9641S on a nice saturday afternoon. Not sure after VO 3x started to stay in slbp.
Scania OACs 31L-37X, 41H 42E and probably a few more came over to brbp in Apr/May 2002. This is in liew of the opening of Toa Payoh Int and the TPY feeders going full aircon. The NAC scanias left for other services or got laid up or something. By then there's very few Scania NACs as there are more CACs on the services. Mr Scania can provide more info on this.
The first batch started to leave in 2004 when depot transfer occurred, that's why u find most of them on S33 when it got xferred from hgdep to bndep. The last being 42E when it disappeared after 41H came back from bndep. -

On the top extreme left corner of most of SBST timesheets, there are numbers and letters (example: 54P).
From what I know, there are several kinds of shift types. P, A and S are some of them.
Can someone explain what the shift number and the several shift types mean? And P=Permanent and S=Split? Then what's A? -

Its like this:
Early 2002: 31L to 37X for 231 to 235
Mid to late 2002: 33G to 37X go back to bndep
March 2003: 231, Some of 232s, 235 Scanias go bndep.
July 2003: 33G to 37X, 41H to 43C to 155, 61A, 65P and 72T for 157, 3644Z (410 then 157), 3645X (70), 3671U (82, ex-232), 3673P (82, ex-br 28 or 232) 3676G (70), 3677D (70), 3681R (70, ex-235, 23
, 3696Z (70), 3699R (70, ex-232) 3707B (70) comes to amdep from bndep.
Dec 2003: 60C (229 then 70) swap with 3707B (70 then 229).
Early 2004: 44A, 45Y and 47S comes to amdep for 101, 3654U, 3658J returns to bram as 410s. 33G and 3652A (232) go to bndep
Sept 2004: Serangoon-Eunos exchange, 34D, 35B, 43C to 45Y, all of 232's remaining Scanias (3645X, 3682M, 3700U), 3654U, 3658J, 3671U (60, left 2 weeks after main batch), 3673P (94, left 1 week after main batch), 3676G, 3696Z (left 3 weeks after main batch), 3699R go to bndep
July 2005: Half of 238's Scanias, 60C go to bndep
Then after that you know. -

A=AM
P=PM
Split shifts:
S=Normal split shift, with no meal break
E=Split shift that starts 2nd shift usually in late morning and has one meal break
Others:
T: Three quarter: Usually starts shift at 9 to 10am and ends in the evening. However, some services have T shift which starts at 6+am and ends around 3+pm
N shift: Night shift
SMRT:
AM=AM shift
PM=PM shift
S1=See S shift
S2=See E shift
TQ=See T shift
For NR, they use PM shifts. -

are the Chartered buses (eg. Tampines Giant) perm on that route?
and does SBS has perm chartered BCs? The Hougang Mall shuttle BC says he only drive chartered buses -

S shifts are just peak hour buses.
But E shifts are peak hours plus the time from around 12pm to evening peak.
There are some exceptions though, like some S shifts like on 157 and 179 where the AM peak part stretches till 12pm+. Those shifts have Meal Breaks too. -

the last 2 recent mercs were on 100: SBS345G and later, SBS546T -
why HGDEP dun want merc? last time when HGDEP took over service 82, got 1 or 2 merc left in the fleet. now no more
