I've got more to ask.
Just now while waiting for my 225 bus (SBS 3721J as usual) to come, I heard an annoucement which was spoken in Chinese.
"che zhang 44286, che xhang 44286, qing lai dao office lai tiao zhen shi jian"
For those who don't know what it means, it was asking the BC with register number 44286 to come to the office to adjust the timing.
The significant thing I noted: adjustment of timing. Why does it happen? What are some factors that caused it to happen?
adjust cos he's having meal break or he need to depart later than scheduled due to a bus in the service having problems.Originally posted by TWS4793:The significant thing I noted: adjustment of timing. Why does it happen? What are some factors that caused it to happen?
Nissan better. Driver go to the driver side window and then press the button on the door open button they use when driving to open the door.Originally posted by ^tamago^:same thing for 460G. but this time, it's a faulty button on the driver's side for the front door, so he has to use the button on top of the door.
Lolx... I always see Service 975 drivers did that at Bt Panjang Int...Originally posted by dfs24:Nissan better. Driver go to the driver side window and then press the button on the door open button they use when driving to open the door.

If u r going Hong Lim Cplx. Which MRT station would u alight at?Originally posted by choww:174 where got passby Clarke Quay in the direction towards New Bridge Rd? Its the direction towards Boon Lay![]()
Chinatown.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:If u r going Hong Lim Cplx. Which MRT station would u alight at?
FYI, normally pple going to Hong Lim Cplx would alight at Clarke Quay cos it is nearer..Originally posted by choww:Chinatown.
Well, if you insist, you can discuss about this by yourself.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:U mean the direction towards New bridge Rd?
About the same... Especially on rainy days, clarke quay to hong lim no shelter but chinatown to hong lim got shelterOriginally posted by chickenlittle2:FYI, normally pple going to Hong Lim Cplx would alight at Clarke Quay cos it is nearer..
Ok, since u do not want to giv specific direction in ur question and even reply in such an attitude, I think there is no point answering ur questions..Originally posted by ^tamago^:Well, if you insist, you can discuss about this by yourself.
Do you have the answer in the first place?Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Ok, since u do not want to giv specific direction in ur question and even reply in such an attitude, I think there is no point answering ur questions..![]()
Did I ask u the direction in the first place?Originally posted by ^tamago^:Do you have the answer in the first place?
You should noe that there are only two pairs of bus stops named "Clarke Quay Stn" (the other is opposite it on New Bridge Rd) and 174 runs through the stop outside the station but does not call at it.
Maybe I have you mistaken, but I seriously want to know what's your logic that makes you conclude that we are talking about going to Hong Lim Park when I have the bus stop name mentioned clearly. Care to share?
Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Did I ask u the direction in the first place?
Cos there is another stop that is the bus stop opp Hong Lim Cplx(Beside Great Eastern) (South Bridge Rd) that 174 do not call at .. That bus stop is the nearest to clarke quay MRT station(NEL). Indicated at SBST website..

Look. If you had just asked for which direction I was referring to for clarifications we would have helped you.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:U mean the direction towards New bridge Rd?
What are u trying to prove anyway?Originally posted by chickenlittle2:so do u understand now?![]()
This is getting funny. In the first place, if u could just answer me directly and not beating around the bush that would cause so much misunderstanding.. Some people regard the Hong Lim Cplx as Clarke Quay Stn and some regard the "offical" bus stop as Clarke Quay Station. Since u r talking about "Clarke Quay Station", next time it would be good if u can point out the important landmark like "Central Square".Originally posted by ^tamago^:Look. But apparently you went on to show that you had better knowledge of the buses and landmarks in the area than the rest. If you can go on so much about getting to Hong Lim Park and Clarke Quay MRT, there is not question you will not know I was referring to the pair of bus stops named after the station itself.
And now, if you really do know the area well, you will definitely know why it does not call at the bus stop opposite Hong Lim Complex, and also why 174 is not the only bus that skips this bus stop, which would have made my initial question redundant in the first place.
You had clearly known your stuffs but choose to nitpick and be ignorant.
I could have answered you but before I could do that you have already went on to explain the landmarks of the area, before ending up with the conclusion that Hong Lim Complex is nearer to Clarke Quay Stn, which could only mean you are merely trying to confuse the people here.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:This is getting funny. For no, I can answer ur question. Svc 174 does not stop at the "Clarke Quay Station" (Central Square) because the bus stop at Apollo Ctr is quite near to Central Square(Just need to cross a road").
