Just now while waiting for my 225 bus (SBS 3721J as usual) to come, I heard an annoucement which was spoken in Chinese.
"che zhang 44286, che xhang 44286, qing lai dao office lai tiao zhen shi jian"
For those who don't know what it means, it was asking the BC with register number 44286 to come to the office to adjust the timing.
The significant thing I noted: adjustment of timing. Why does it happen? What are some factors that caused it to happen? -

Nissan better. You should noe that there are only two pairs of bus stops named "Clarke Quay Stn" (the other is opposite it on New Bridge Rd) and 174 runs through the stop outside the station but does not call at it.
Maybe I have you mistaken, but I seriously want to know what's your logic that makes you conclude that we are talking about going to Hong Lim Park when I have the bus stop name mentioned clearly. Care to share? -

Cos there is another stop that is the bus stop opp Hong Lim Cplx(Beside Great Eastern) (South Bridge Rd) that 174 do not call at .. That bus stop is the nearest to clarke quay MRT station(NEL). Indicated at SBST website..

If you can go on so much about getting to Hong Lim Park and Clarke Quay MRT, there is not question you will not know I was referring to the pair of bus stops named after the station itself.

I guess the reason is the same as to why Svc 73 towards Toa Payoh direction does not call at the bus stop After Serangoon Nth Ave 1.
The bus need sufficient road space to filter out into the most right hand lane for right turning thereafter. Thus the reason.

But 174 still does not call at Clarke Quay Stn when every other buses plying stops there.

For no, I can answer ur question. Svc 174 does not stop at the "Clarke Quay Station" (Central Square) because the bus stop at Apollo Ctr is quite near to Central Square(Just need to cross a road").
I still do not understand why would people regard Hong Lim Complex as Clarke Quay Station when the entrance at Chinatown Point to Chinatown Stn is next door. One who takes 174 on the opposite end and wants to get to Clarke Quay Stn will alight at Boat Quay.
If I wanted to pose a question about Hong Lim Cplx, I would have said so. I do not understand which part of my post allows you to interpret "Clarke Quay Stn" as "Hong Lim Cplx", and I am sure I am not the one being ambigious here.
"Central Square", for your information, lies at Havelock Rd. You probably meant "The Central" outside the bus stop where my doubts lie.
And finally, to answer your last point, all scheduled full-day services calling at Apollo Ctr (2,12,33,51,61,63,80,174,197,961) also call at Clarke Quay Stn bus stop except 174. -
However, service 2, 12, 80 stops at Apollo Ctr and also stops at Clarke Quay stn.
