Actually on the expressway, SBST always overtakes SMRT. At least on TPE and SLE, unless we're talking Tridents and VSOs here. Specific services that I consider shiok would have to be 88, 89, 161, 168, the other services are not too slow either. And certainly 89 is the service that caused me to have a good opinion of the MKIII. A truly wonderful bus if you ask me. Oh! And the LO3X on 161, 168 and 88 always seem to break their own records everytime I try them.Originally posted by C151:Why are SMRT drivers used to drive faster than SBS Transit drivers? My experience is that SMRT busses like to overtake the SBS Transit drivers. What's the reason for that 'competition'?

All I know it is often MIA...Originally posted by TWS4793:Did anyone notice that SBS 2812L (54 AMDEP) serve on Service 22 every Wednesday?
i see. do saturday follow sundays and PHs or follow weekdays schedules?Originally posted by carbikebus:Like i've said before,Usually the run time for SBST are much longer than SMRTB,However for Sundays & PHs it's the other way around.Example for SBST service A has 16 buses run time is 50mins while SMRTB is 13 buses and 42mins,You see the differences now.

Are all BC trained to drive all sort of models of buses ?

yesOriginally posted by choww:Will a DD bus cameo on a SD time slot and vice versa?
Before the B9s came, its rather common for SD cameo on DD slot, which sometimes results in overloading. Now with more DDs, both ways are possible.Originally posted by choww:Will a DD bus cameo on a SD time slot and vice versa?

Services have a separate timetable for Saturdays.Originally posted by BusSpeeder:i see. do saturday follow sundays and PHs or follow weekdays schedules?
Even before B9TL, 179 & 242 (S/E shift) SD's were frequently cameoed by DD.Originally posted by service_238:Before the B9s came, its rather common for SD cameo on DD slot, which sometimes results in overloading. Now with more DDs, both ways are possible.
I still wonder are the S242 perm drivers DD trainedOriginally posted by stooper:Even before B9TL, 179 & 242 (S/E shift) SD's were frequently cameoed by DD.
You still see this happening every Saturday for 242 too. The T shift timesheets are for SD buses, but DDs cameo on it.
All new BCs are taught to drive 3 basic buses, Mercedes Benz O.405 (they have 3 of them for training, although they do take some amdep Merc out sometimes), Scania N113CRB (they have tons of them) and Volvo B10Ms (2 Mk2s, 2 Mk3s, 2 Mk4s, although they do take some amdep/hgdep Mk2/Mk3/Mk4 out occasionally), not sure why was 81S used for training, probably just for basics like some of the Scanias and Mk2s are doing.Originally posted by choww:Will a DD bus cameo on a SD time slot and vice versa?

1. what timetable? timesheet is it? go to the timesheet thread and ask there.Originally posted by TWS4793:1. Can anyone please enlighten me on how to read the BC's timetable?
2. Will there be any official introduction of the new Scania buses (just like last year when they did introduce the B9TL at SBS Transit's HQ)?

2. If there is, would you like to go? And do you need to find out how long does it take to get to the launch ceremony and what time the bus that takes you there leaves Bedok North Bus Interchange?
In the very first place, we are not staffs of SBS Transit or ComfortDelgro. Even if there is a launch ceremony, it will only be for invited guests only.Originally posted by TWS4793:1. Can anyone please enlighten me on how to read the BC's timetable?
