SBST made recommendations to PTC

as reported in St today
1) good if SBST take over all bus
then we cna stuff like Choa Chu kang to Hougang route
2) just realise how dense tokyo subway network is. imagine 3 station serving one major mall in tokyo. well i dun realy mind if we go that way. better than congest the roads. like tokyo

SBST asked the PTC whether they can take over all of the bus operations? SBST really did that??

I think better if SBST run all bus services and SMRT takes over all trains. Since SMRT's buses are so horrible and they only care about their trains.

Actually from what i read, they are also interested in buying over SMRT as a whole...lol...but of course, this kind of thing has been in talk for since 2002...nothing happend. so don't get too excited

I dun like the idea of monopoly of the public services...
It's already bad enough as it is...complaints of insufficient buses, plus the well-it's-so-normal increase in fares...
Of course it's good if the buses go to SBST and the trains to SMRT, at least they are in their own 'realm' of business? But I like SMRT buses cos faster

They made the schedule so tight till the poor driver have to resolve to skipping bus stops esp Sv 67 along Dunearn Rd to catch up... -

CCK is an example only.
Maybe SBST buses can go sembawang/admiralty, etc. the smrt areas. -

Of coz it would be good but it wont be too good with SBST having monopoly. Maybe SBST can take over most SMRT high demand routes like 190 but leave the Nightriders, Service 825, Teacher's Estate Service and other less ridership service for SMRT to operate.

Might not be the case.
