You have chosen:
To give scheduled buses more priority on the roads
To increase the frequency of buses and trains
To introduce more direct bus services
Not to expand rail network
Travel speeds and reliability of bus services would improve with commuters experiencing less waiting time and over-crowdedness. However, giving buses more priority on roads could result in more congestion for other motorists. The operators may also incur higher costs to increase frequency of services. This may eventually lead to higher fares.
Without rail expansion, commuters would have to rely more on buses which could result in more traffic congestion and overcrowding on existing rail lines.
Direct bus services are likely to duplicate the MRT lines and compete with the MRT for passengers. The viability of MRT lines may be affected.
It's all bs... Overcrowding might also end up losses for the bus operator as some might just switch to taking cab.
See... They are more concerned abt viability of MRT lines still though SMRT is alrdy one of the most profitable rail operator in the world alrdy
