just some BC who has attitude problem.Originally posted by hegu:You guys may know that there is a bus stop just across the road from the back exit of Orchart MRT station, and there is a pedestrian crossing right in front of the bus stop.
Just now at about 5.30pm I came out of the MRT station and saw bus 700 approaching, which I wanted to take. However the traffic light was at red man and I could not cross. Nobody boarded 700 and it was about to drive off when the lights changed to green man. 700 stopped and I proceeded to cross the road quickly to catch the bus.
Here comes the disgusting part. I tapped the door several times but the lady bus driver refused to open the door! And she even waved her hands in a frustrated manner to gesture me to go away! I was shocked, but could not do anything much.
And thus this bus driver refused to let a passenger up the bus at the bus stop.
The bus stopped about half a minute (with me waiting outside) for the traffic light to turn green before driving off.
That made my mood really bad, till now. Really pissed off by the way IÂ’m treated.
I know this small incident is just a part of the numerous poor service by public buses we encounter everyday, but I donÂ’t see what IÂ’ve done wrong to be treated like this.
Thanks for listening to my rants, damn pissedÂ….
And today, I saw a man trying to catch a 124 (SBS174H). Of course, he is not supposed to run after the bus. However, (I'm quite sure the BC saw him) the BC just drove off.Originally posted by BusSpeeder:just some BC who has attitude problem.

I can empathise with your situation. However, majority of BCs are friendly. Stop being so petty and move on.Originally posted by hegu:if i complain then nobody except the bus company and i will know
if i post here then everyone that visits this forum (probably including ppl from bus company) will know
i want ppl to know how badly BCs can treat their passengers.
Thanks I know majority of the BCs are friendly since I've met several of them as well. But I think black sheep like this put the company in bad light. Like how the HCI guy puts his school to shame for that incident. What if the victim is a foreigner? What will he/she think about our public transport service?Originally posted by Rock^Star:I can empathise with your situation. However, majority of BCs are friendly. Stop being so petty and move on.
What do you want us to do? Don't take buses anymore.
So what if more people know about "BCs being rude"? That makes you happy.
Stop whining and just complain to the bus company. Await the outcome of the disciplinary action, if any. That's REAL action.

what was your situation?Originally posted by LazerLordz:I got a long apology letter from SMRT Buses before.![]()
You can do what LazerLordz proposed: a calm yet strong letter.Originally posted by hegu:Thanks I know majority of the BCs are friendly since I've met several of them as well. Don't take bus anymore? Hmm, that's what you said...but I'm sure most of us can't survive without buses. I just want people to listen and know. That's usually what a rant is for. I don't expect you guys to do anything since we citizens can't really make a difference anyway. And no I won't be any happier, because I'm still pissed off.
I believe the bus company receive many complaints everyday. They are not going to give a damn to this small incident, like I've said, where only 1 small little me is offended.
Bus hygiene and scheduling problems.Originally posted by hegu:what was your situation?![]()
Should ask WHAT saftey concerns. Its a red light, the bus has stopped, and hasn't really left the bus bay.Originally posted by hegu:Dear hegu,
I understand your situation regarding the bus driver who refused to open the door. However I would like to point out that such action is part of our safety measure to ensure that passengers do not hurt themselves during the attempt to board the bus while the bus is about to move off.
We apologise about the misunderstanding between you and the driver. Contrary to what was mentioned, the bus driver replied that she was merely trying to warn you to stay away from the bus, due to safety concerns.
We sincerely hope that you flag the bus in advance so that the driver will be prepared to stop and open the door. Thank you for taking SMRT buses.

Later SMRT can sue you or throw you into jail or call police for offending the female BC, vandalising SMRT bus and alot moreOriginally posted by RiverFoX:was the bus packed like sardine?!?!

its a cameo bus i guess. but you know that singaporeans quite kiasu. they don't want to wait for another bus. 1 min also don't want wait. I last time also run towards buses then the BC don't want wait then drive away. These BCs don't care whether they earn money or not.Originally posted by SBS9806J:And today, I saw a man trying to catch a 124 (SBS174H). Of course, he is not supposed to run after the bus.
