not always. i've seen near 1/3 of the BCs are rude. if you call BCs wait for someone to come who needs to take this bus either urgently or other reasons, they don't care, just scold you and wait. Some even like, like someone said, a group of girls take bus then wait wait wait for the other group come then the bus close drive off. 1/3 of BCs are rude, the others are quite friendly. but i agree, complain to bus company is best. last time i see someone running for the bus then reach the entrance door of the bus the BC act never see drive off then this person go take down the bus rego and most likely complained to the bus company. this is the best solution for now towards inconsiderate BCs.Originally posted by Rock^Star:I can empathise with your situation. However, majority of BCs are friendly. Stop being so petty and move on.
What do you want us to do? Don't take buses anymore.
So what if more people know about "BCs being rude"? That makes you happy.
Stop whining and just complain to the bus company. Await the outcome of the disciplinary action, if any. That's REAL action.
i have to agree with what muziq said there. since its 5.30 in the evening, it is during the peak hours. they do not have the need to stop, especially since peak hours gt a lot of commuters but if its during non-peak hours then of course, they see people then they have to stop, unless this BC don't care got passengers, then purposely drive off then that one no good.Originally posted by SBS9806J:Should ask WHAT saftey concerns. Its a red light, the bus has stopped, and hasn't really left the bus bay.
I'm quite sure it won't kill to open a doorOriginally posted by BusSpeeder:i have to agree with what muziq said there. since its 5.30 in the evening, it is during the peak hours. they do not have the need to stop, especially since peak hours gt a lot of commuters but if its during non-peak hours then of course, they see people then they have to stop, unless this BC don't care got passengers, then purposely drive off then that one no good.
the BC must be very selective i guess. she chose to wait half a minute for the traffic light to turn green rather than 3 seconds to open the door and let me up.Originally posted by muziq bus:so?
that's his side of the story.
Look, he said it was 5.30pm. and if you happen to work there, you would know that its the peak period.
Waiting for jus one person might affect the whole schedule anyway. That would then affect the passengers at the later leg of the journey.
If that happens, then ppl will complain that 700 has very slow and irregular frequency.
So?

please man, peak hour at Orchard is hell...Originally posted by stooper:What you talking?![]()
Peak hour no need to stop at all? Off peak stop bus?
you seem to have forgotten about the red light...Originally posted by muziq bus:please man, peak hour at Orchard is hell...
3 seconds delay can mean another 30seconds delay...
i pity hegu for being in that situation though...
u see, 30 sec is as long as the driver can afford to wait...
imagine if she opens again, hegu boards, then maybe, someone behind him wana board it too. and then another one, and another one...
that is how the 3 seconds can turn to 30seconds
for 190, usually once door is closed, its closed.
cos drivers know that 190 has a very high freq durin peak
Well, it may be true our country may be better than the rest, but think about it. Would we want our country to be looked down upon by the world like people saying "Oh, this is just another normal country, people complain, run for buses and miss them, and hygiene is bad". And the whole point of me saying this is that Singapore, with its very affordable resource management, should improve in both bus cleanliness and having drivers who dont act very bitchy.Originally posted by carbikebus:Singapore commuters is damm fortunate. Not satisfied with the driver can go complain add a bit of story and maybe consider take legal actions.Bus already cross over the yellow bus stop line also complain but twist a bit of fact like saying the driver rude bla bla bla,I suggest those complain kings go and scold the Malaysian/Other countries drivers then you compare which one is rude.I've seen a passenger being whack by a stick by a bus driver for shouting at him. After this what ah?Bus crowded cannot get seat,Bus didn't stop cause i was busy looking at handphones is it??Lame old story
so what if its peak hour? picking up another passenger wont kill as the bus cant move in a red light anyway..Originally posted by muziq bus:so?

i think you misunderstood...Originally posted by muziq bus:nope. wont be.
the bus was not in red light wad...
it was about to move off already.
what about those 60 odd ppl inside...they more pissed..
of course it doesn't. but either this BC wants to follow its schedule and not open the door or just some BC who see the bus quite full too lazy open door.Originally posted by SBS9806J:I'm quite sure it won't kill to open a door
hmmm, the BC is in the wrong. the BC see you and didn't open right? so means BC's fault. if lights turn green, of course they also don't need to open during peak hours. if red lights, maybe open. just some BC which don't care they earn money or not just want to "need for speed"Originally posted by hegu:i think you misunderstood...
the bus WAS at red light
otherwise how do i cross the road at green man?
it goes like this:
1) 700 stopped at the bus stop and opened the door but no one got up
2) 700 was about to move off
3) Lights turn red (green man)
4) 700 stopped
5) I crossed the road
6) I tapped the door of the stationary 700 which was waiting for the lights.
am i in the wrong?
this one is just a BC who is very ignorant. if peak hours, buses always open door if they see a passenger trying to run to it and take it but if this BC didn't see this person and drive off, as if if the person was running from behind, of course can be pardoned, but this person saw one which drive off even after seeing this. i have yet to see one of the BC's calibre. i have to agree with you, if u pick up another passenger when the lights is red and green man still flashing, its ok but if nt, they can drive off. this BC is just one person who act ignorant.Originally posted by manjieass:so what if its peak hour? picking up another passenger wont kill as the bus cant move in a red light anyway..

60 odd people?????????? even bendies also can't hold 60 odd people SITTING? max bendie capacity is 59 SEATS. as for rigid its 39. hegu already said that NOBODY WAS STANDING. hegu, is this bus that you were taking a rigid or a bendy? if a rigid, means this person's estimation is wrong, how can be 60 people WHEN nobody is standing. if rigid means there are people standing and the people standing will be standing half of the spaces of the rigid already. if bendy there will be like 1 or more standing.Originally posted by muziq bus:nope. wont be.
