TIB373G: Used Parking Brake to brake!!

I rode a Nissan U31RCN, TIB373G on 178 and guess what happened? The driver used the emergency brake while braking! Shockingly, the force was not that jerky! The driver is great: Focus on Road+Focus on Parking Brake Lever= A great, focused driver.

Very common.. I experienced it a lot of times during the Bt Panjang feeders Nissan Diesel (UDs) days... Only UDs then can the driver do that.. The rest of them (i.e Merz, Scania, etc) u try and see what happens when driver do the same thing as well..

I saw a DD used reverse to break in time at a bus stop.

1) the japanese technology assures a nice use of the emergency parking brake.
2) DD using reverse gear to stop
the driver driving Boeing 787 ah?

I've done it with O.405s, O.405NHs, MAN 16.240s, Leyland Tiger, Volvo B10M, Volvo B58 and O.305s before. Nothing special, just not normal, either.Originally posted by TIB1062Y:Very common.. Does the bus emergency brake only work on the rearmost axle like normal cars? I saw once when something except for a UD, when DAFs were perm on 189, there was once when the BC experiment with the handbrake when he was driving, obviously there was someone trying to 'psycho' him into trying, but when the lever was pulled back, nothing happened, all the way until the bus was about to stop completely by conventional brakes then the loud 'chiiiiiii' sound came up and the handbrake is really in power.
But regarding handbrakes, they use alot of gas, or that air from the compressors right?... -
Some Nissans have a big gearbox problem. TIB370P had a noisy gearbox in 2004=2005 and recently, TIB368Y had a gearbox problem.
