That time during a thunder storm at BP , a lighting strike caused power to the traffic lights to fail . Then i saw one UD chiong straight on , taking advantage of the downed traffic lights .Originally posted by SBS1985C:The day I went to hougang int, the traffic lights failed.

firstly,Originally posted by jetabt767400:Light streaks, and featuring SBS525D, service 174.
ISO100, 8 seconds f18 at 24mm, manual exposure.
My first attempt at playing with light streaks + buses. Bus not very clear this time. Must try again next time, lols...
Mistakes in the picture (spotting own mistake is important in learning)
1. Too many traffic, lols, must pick the correct timing.
2. Bus too short exposure time. This must rely on luck, and if BC speed off, the whole frame is 'wasted'.
3. Lens flare from street lamp. I didn't bring the flare cap out, so must remember to bring next time...

115 got alot people take?Originally posted by gorby107:
Not reallyOriginally posted by BusSpeeder:115 got alot people take?
Most of the time like 5 ppl niaOriginally posted by gorby107:Not really
Most of the time around 5-35 commuters for each trip
More loads during the morning peak hours(one time where I spotted that all the seats were occupied)![]()
i think SBS thinks this service is hopeless..Originally posted by sbst275:Most of the time like 5 ppl nia
Bo pian... PAP MP ask for this service one
Think they gotta maintain... More to politicsOriginally posted by 105090:i think SBS thinks this service is hopeless..
so demote it to non aircon.. then people will start to avoid it
then SBS can use a low ridership as excuse to withdraw it?
Ah first, thanks to ya points, quite true.Originally posted by SBS3758D:firstly,
this photo is fine if the subject or theme of it is on "A Bustling City' or something to that connotation. if the subject is on buses then u cant open ur aperture with F8 as it will require a very long exposure time of 8 sec (that u used), with that high volume of traffic.
if the subject is on the bus then u have to use a MUCH shorter exposure time of 1 or 1.2s. Use F8.0 with long shutter only if u want the 'star' effect of the bus headlight of which where u referred to as 'lens flare'. Its not lens flare.
that is the aperture blade of ur camera creating that effect. this occurs when u set to a very small aperture. (F5.0 or F6.3 onwards in diff scenarios)
with that, i should have also answered the cause of ur point 3.
eh no u misintepreted me. what i meant was use a small aperture if, for instance u want to create the star effect on the bus headlight, not referring to the source in ur photo.Originally posted by jetabt767400:Ah first, thanks to ya points, quite true.
Hmm, the lens flare comes from the streetlights, not from the bus. You should be able to see halos on the top right area, thats the flare I meant. It should be able to be dampened out by a flare cap. I try next time tell ya if it woks or not, lols...
Subject in this photo; none. Its meant to be a test shot, lols, sorry for those who got tricked. It was with luck that 525D came in and got in the frame. Definitely, with some percentage, its supposed to be there too...
This time round the 'chao tar' bus went to 65.Originally posted by SBS9806J:

The B9 on Service 89 is a cameo. B9 on 89 is quite a rarity, though it has done a lot of cameos before. Till date, I had even not seen a B9 on 89.
And so, when the traffic light (you mentioned) went off, all the traffic lights outside Hougang Interchange went off?
Perm at the time the picture was taken. Info from the EXIF Data.Originally posted by Y_Shun:so that 115 is cameo or perm?
can ppl don't quote pics next time?![]()
