Eh, I never use tripod also one leh...Originally posted by ^tamago^:yeah.
but without tripod usually hands cannot get steady enough for originals bigger than 1500x1000 leh.Originally posted by jetabt767400:Eh, I never use tripod also one leh...
Now I planning to do panning, lols...
Erm, haha, shutter speed 1/40-60 and aperture follow ev settings of +0.3, and then pan, at abt 90 degrees coverage between right 45 to left 45, snap at around front?!Originally posted by ^tamago^:but without tripod usually hands cannot get steady enough for originals bigger than 1500x1000 leh.

Well, it's pretty good that you can have a clear night shots plus the fact that you can make the "star burst" effect on the headlight makes me even more impressed. I supposed you use a DSLR to create this starbust effect? Or if not, your camera may has this function to adjust the aperture value manually that create this kind of effect?? =)
Some night shots taken today.
(Pls pardon the cones, I was trying to play with the modes available)

All the photos turn out so yellowish irregardless of the mode used. Is it normal or did I use the wrong mode? Feel free to give any comments.
Thank you[/b]
Originally posted by my@jas:Hmm, I think it was the tungsten white balance that caused the yellowish effect. Have played with it and the florescent WB and the tungsten will produce the effect, hmm, like yellowish (warm tones) and the florescent will produce bluish tones. At night, it would be best to put to AWB and test some shots, if they have yellowish tones it would be great to adjust back to sunlight WB.

Come to pass, its still a bus photo. No creativity added.
Thanks to the sun of course, but of course luck comes in hard too, luckily it didn't rain...

ok. if it's a cameo shot i'll usually test with a few buses before the real one comes. in this case the sunlight was pretty bright and shining towards me so i had to take my shots under the bridge to shield it away.Originally posted by jetabt767400:Erm, haha, shutter speed 1/40-60 and aperture follow ev settings of +0.3, and then pan, at abt 90 degrees coverage between right 45 to left 45, snap at around front?!
For normal shots, I use 1/200-320/400 and ISO 200 in evening, 100 for afternoons, if aperture drop below f6.3 and I will use ISO 200 regardless of sunlight amount, tts cos I trust my cam, for those who dun trust they stick ISO 100 best.
Just some of my own methods, as they may screw up for you, please try not to follow. Thanks.
Hmm, I see, yeah when I kinda like see the bus coming along had to make some fine tuning first, you know how many dials and settings large cameras can have, cannot rival smaller cameras lols...Originally posted by ^tamago^:ok. if it's a cameo shot i'll usually test with a few buses before the real one comes. in this case the sunlight was pretty bright and shining towards me so i had to take my shots under the bridge to shield it away.![]()

When I cannot get a shot I would also feel banging the wall, arggh, but when I get the shot I want, needless to say there will be small celebration, until the next bus comes along...!
Yeah, what I was supposed to take the photo below but it didn't turn out well instead, cos too much sunlight reduces the sharpness of the shot.Originally posted by jetabt767400:Hmm, I see, yeah when I kinda like see the bus coming along had to make some fine tuning first, you know how many dials and settings large cameras can have, cannot rival smaller cameras lols...
