Please find somewhere easier to take photos of buses! Try your best not to take pics of bus moving is fast speed to prevent it from too blurr shots(9030E). And also take note of the sunlight from intercepting your photos (9101J and 9827Z).

Think it has to do with the camera, no matter what mode I use also have the effect. Just make sure have a stable base to take night shots.

It has to do with the aperture, like someone said before.
I personally don't go for special effects, cause when needed can be added via software, or do some test shots before the actual shoot.
