Buses got "beauty" too! When you like a bus, you just like it, I don't think anyone will fall in love with a bus. Even if you say tat you "love" buses, its just "LOVE" the word, won't become your boy/girlfriend or young ppl "stead" and you won't marry them too! Its like other things, movies, musics etc.
Bus are like a car/motorcycle, only that the size and capacity make them different.
When we're born, we like buses.
Its the same question as (if u find cars interesting) "Why do people find cars interesting?". -

gradually i discover i din mind sitting bus. in fact i looked forward to bus rides my parents bring me on? why so dumb? somehow i like seeing the scenery flash by me. odd. isin't it normal for a person to love scnery? isn't that the reason why u travel n go overseas.
gradually as i got older i begin to like the sound of buses even. now we humns have ears. u like a certian sound. u open ur ear hear. same like radio or MP3 player. u din know bus shift gear can be nice feeling for ur body? being mildly blind i come to appreciate the vibrations of sound passing up my body to my eardrum.
every bus has its different sounds. different sounds for diff purpose in the components of the inner workings of a bus engine.
gradually i began to read up on buses. what for? why i know i like bus tickets , sit bus see window n bus engine sound. what more will i like about bus?
ah reading opens the world to u. i appreciate many new facts i learned. the fasincation grew worse when internet came about n i join forum groups n forums. i learned how to spot cameos. how to hunt bus by rego n sit bus n collect bus ticket n enjoy new bus that sort of thing. i also learned bout bus industry how buses r made waht bus models i draem to take etc..

this hobby trains u to be alert (sanp bus pix must be alert),
it also gives u a sense of direction
my map reading skills are good now.
trains ur ears.
allows u to explore different parts of singapore
go places where u dare not go.
exploration is good. u see more things.
certianly more things to learn abt buses
engine inner workings i try lern. vast expanse of engineering knowledge to pick up. understand ur bus, understand ur hobby, understand life (ok leap too fr liao)

however others hve super sophisticated electronic equipment... very smart one. basically on board computer chip control almost every mechanical thing the bus does. of course in our world at lest to me larh, this ECU is famous for controlling the gear shifting rates n when to shift the gerbox n other things.

but some even smarter buses run not on normal diesel fuel but on fuel cell, natural gas or even electricity. these are the green age buses. very very very samrt.
to the laymen
buses are smart. why? this is the form of trnsport that cn ferry u point to point and carry many people at once. u cn't sy the car carry loads of people at one go?

i like buses coz its unique in its own way:
- handstraps & bells (esp the strip bells)
- the bus body is large enough to carry multi-colour livery and creative advertisements hence further enhancing its appearance
- front & side destos, esp the acrylic/metal ones - got different designs
- the bus route numbers displayed on buses making it look special & unique
- various types of bus designs & engines, seating arrangements, configurations
- bus got Metropolitan/City Buses, Interstate/Coach/Luxury catagories - with different engine types and designs
- got mini, regular-sized, superlong,articulated,double-deck,bi-articulated and even articulated double-deck versions!
- different types of bus tickets, bus service guides (eg from past to present, local to overseas)
- the automatic doors on buses (i like seeing it open & close and also the sound!)
- the interior lightings -

I love the LO3x accelerating away sound ! Its fantastic coupled with the ZF sound .
I also like the way when buses enter the bus stop , BC applies parking brakes and opens the doors . Or even better , the bus stop is rather long , then many buses stop with parking brakes applied . -
Hehe I remember those bus tickets I use to have in the 90s. Used to collect them for the numbers they had on them. You know, the ones showing the passenger number.
I remember keeping only the "special" ones:
1. Those that add up to 21.
2. Those that comes in nice combi like 1313 etc.
3. Those that are really, really small. I remembered I had a 0002 if I was not wrong.
Sorry to bore you guys with such a silly hobby but it made those long bus journeys home that much more fun. -
