hooray....direct connection from bt batok to sungei tengah area w/o having to pass thru cck...think 985 would be one of those re-routed svcs when the extension road opened up...wild guess only...

what about add extenstion of svc 180?180 used to ply from bukit panjang to boon lay.so since due to open of new road,i suggest svc 180 to skip few bus stops(in red font)thus adding new extension.skipped bus stops will be extended to cck way,ave 1 and ave 3 then to bb west ave 5 by brickland road extenstion and continue the trip to boon lay to give more competion to smrt svc 172 which also ply cck to boon lay int too.

Thats the very last thing that they would want to do it especially by doing so, it will hurt their train business. Since there is already 172, very unlikely that 180 will be diverted into CCK. Again its not possible , firstly ... as mentioned by sbs_boy , theres oredi 172 , why need another bus service to BNL from CCK Ave 3? And also ... by re-routing bus service it will affect the frequency... u wanna have 30 mins per bus? This is the so called Bricklands Road "extension". Extends the original Bricklands Road from Choa Chu Kang to Bukit Batok Road.Originally posted by patdog112:new road opening...

As for any SMRT or SBST service to be re-routed to use this road, not very likely.
First, they will have to make a feasiblity study. When there is nobody stayin along the route, obviously SBST and SMRT will not want a service to pass through an area that will have nobody boarding.
Secondly, no bus stop (from what I can see from the MRT Train).
BTW, for your information, this road was built by HDB. -

I am pointing out that at the way things are currently, it is going to be quite a while before any services will ply that route, unless SMRT or SBST introduce a Express Service.

judging from smrt's profit driven management, unlikely to haf any bus services ply tt road... if there is, den pigs can climb trees liao. of course a service tt ply tru tt road can still survive if it also passes thru cck ave 4, lots of schs n residents down there, alleviating 300's load. a new service is unlikely, n any reroute will target 188 n 985, but i doubt they will give up the current routes.
tengah area has been earmarked for housing in the distant future, see ura masterplan, correct me if i am wrong. it is onli after the moving of keat hong camp den it is possible to build this road. good news as cck is basically "locked" by stagmont camp n the ktm railway to the east, sg kadut industrial est to the north, kranji camp n former keat hong camp to the west, gombak hill to the south. the onli road exits to the eastwest dirn r bricklandrd, KJE, n cck link, north onli cck way , south onli cck way n teckwhye ave. cck way is increasingly congested during peak hrs.
