Original Air-Con (OAC) or Converted Air-Con (CAC)

Do you like Original Air-Con buses or/and Converted Air-Con buses? For me, I like both.

Anyway , it depends . For me , i prefer CAC Mercedes Benz O405 of SMRT .
I also prefer OAC Scania N113CRBs . Dont really like CAC , leg room is really tight . -
Me? I like the Volvo B10M Mark II CAC and NAC. Love the powerful engine and to remind you, the first batch of Mark IIs(SBS1701-1710) will be going on it's final day today and would be sent to the grave after that or become 'ghosts' which meant, sold to NZ or Australia

i prefer the cac o405, reason being, it's colder, and it seems to be more stable and have fasster accleration

CAC definitely for SBS's O405s, CRBs and MK2.
For SMRT, OACs -
SBS merc original air con rocks bigger leg room SMRTB merc original air too it's engine sound and tendency to go beyonds the legal speed...

SBST MK2 = NAC
SMRT CAC are hopeless, especially ELBO -

Well actually I prefer SMRT CAC Merz instead on OAC Merz because OAC Merz eh where you sit at the back, the dunno that air-con thinky makes a lot of noise. CAC Merz does not have that although the window isn't change but I still prefer CAC Merz.

Saw it on TIB783G. Some of them the axle also "sounds rusty".
But CAC Merc remains one of my most fav buses. Its the poor cleaniness and maintainance that made it look like in a bad state. -
Hmm, I think I rather the SMRT 0405 CAC version.
Although I have sat SBST 0405 CAC for several times on 8N and must say its a nice ride too. Sometimes the aircon for some particular bus may be weak.
Same applies to all buses dah, its the same when they get old but I still like them. -

In fact, before the MK-IIIs, Scania N113CRB OACs and MB0405s went for MLR (Mid-Life Refurbishment), they had the same aircon vents or those eh.... the place where they put the adverts in the top slots. Dun know what was it called but really, they looked dull, especially the SMRT style seats (black and blue livery). After MLR, they look more attractive. Lances could use some aircon panels of thier MB counterparts.
