Im not sure whether someone has posted a thread similar to this, but never mind.
Think you all realize that by now, buses which goes to Hougang Central Interchange do not utilise MBO405(most likely except for the IMF period). Almost all interchanges/terminals I see have perm MBO405 except for this interchange.
Same goes for Ang Mo Kio Interchange, where buses there do not utilises Volvo B10M MKIII.
What do you all think about this? -

Well, Volvo B10M Mark IIs are mainly there as HGDEPs buses and deploy on bus feeders and 112, 113. Serangoon have them as well and mostly deployed on 100, 103, 315, 82, 317. Mercs at Hougang Interchange are sometimes a rare sight. Once, a Merc 0405 cameo-ed on 161 and sometimes as well, cameo-ed on passing by route 72.

I still remember that there were frequent MB O405 cameos on route 161 in the past (in fact, my first known encounter with a Voith MB O405 was likely on route 161), and someone posted in the old photographs thread some years back of a MB O405 on route 27 .

Speaking of 0405s on 100/161, those are indeed great memories. I remembered my first few trips on 161 was actually the 0405s and the BC drove it smoothly on the highway. No braking nor acceleration was needed, it just went at the same speed along the way. Service 100 was the one I took to go to my grandma's house. The 0405s were side by side with the Mk4 DM and Striders on 62. Nice days ... ...

Ya. But then 51 & 161 do have Merz cameos! In March just took 3778X on 161. Merz cameo on 51 may not be common but Merz on 161 could be quite a common cameo

Serangoon used to be under AMDep which explains the large amount of Merdz in the past before '04. During the great '04 switch, Serangoon was given to HGDep in exchange with Eunos. So in any case if there's a disruption in the train service, its easier to deploy buses from the interchanges this way... ease of management as all are under hgdep
