Apparently they love to do last minute extension, 3668E and 3675J were done after their 17 years lifespan expiry. O.405s, I think have higher chance of being extended.Originally posted by choww:So is it true that MB are not given extension?
if they dun extend...some of the Merc would go earlier thansome of the Mark IIsOriginally posted by Scania:Apparently they love to do last minute extension, 3668E and 3675J were done after their 17 years lifespan expiry. O.405s, I think have higher chance of being extended.
I think the Mercs would be a great help for SBST when the Mk2s and part of the Scanias are gone, they are going to face a shortage of buses without the O.405s.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:if they dun extend...some of the Merc would go earlier thansome of the Mark IIsso its quite clear they would have to extend...i think they may do selective extension of the MB...some extend some go...but remember its 700 units...its a good thing ive completed 695 of them (5 cant complete because 2 - scrapped before i took them and 3 converted to training buses before i got to take them)
OMG!! I forgot today it has been scrappedOriginally posted by BusSpeeder:bye bye SBS 82P, we'll miss you... , think deregistered by now, but onemotoring.com haven't update because only today starts deregistration, maybe a last minute extension on its lifespan
most likely sold off, the buses are quite good so i highly doubt they will be scrapped unless its damaged.Originally posted by bus555:OMG!! I forgot today it has been scrapped![]()
Its 82P. I think what they will do is to extend it tomorrow or on Tuesday. They did the same for 3667H, 3668E and 3675JOriginally posted by tintinspartan:I think the 1710 - 1720 series of Volvo B10M MKIIs and SBS82S have been deregistered today. SBS82S becomes ghost and MKIIs are sent to the scrap grave![]()
And so SBS 3668E and SBS 3675J got laid up in depot for a few days (but with their rego plates on) until they were given extension?Originally posted by Scania:Apparently they love to do last minute extension, 3668E and 3675J were done after their 17 years lifespan expiry. And deregistered don't mean it's scrapped.Originally posted by bus555:OMG!! I forgot today it has been scrapped![]()
Ah no, 3668E was on 8 (last time perm) for that two days. either bndep thought that bram people would extend it or that they were given the permission or instruction by bram to run them while bram settles the matter with ROV.Originally posted by TWS4793:And deregistered don't mean it's scrapped.
SBS 82 P has been deregistered.Originally posted by Scania:Its 82P. I think what they will do is to extend it tomorrow or on Tuesday. They did the same for 3667H, 3668E and 3675J

Add on: SBS 0076H and SBS 0080U were nearly in danger of being deregistered too (in March). The lucky thing is, SBS Transit got the lifespan for SBS 0076H extended by two years, but on the last day of it's 17 year lifespan, if I'm not wrong.Originally posted by Scania:Apparently they love to do last minute extension, 3668E and 3675J were done after their 17 years lifespan expiry.
