bus breakdown can refund the fare?

today i took a bus but halfway it breaks down and we were told to take the next bus to continue the journey..... so can we get the refund for the breakdown bus trip?

But I encountered some breakdowns before, and now I and wondering to those pax who paid cash for their rides. -
that day the bus has to terminate halfway because of an assault case, the driver also didn't issue complimentary ticket and i had to pay again.

Well, apparently my classmates (who are giving out flyers to tell the residents about my school's CIP project and were going back to school) tok TIB1105H (WL 187) on 900 yesterday and bus brokedown but no complimentary tix given by driver.

sometimes drivers just heck care wont give the ticket, and/or wont set the ez-link to "breakdown" mode....
especially if he is very nervous or the bus is very crowded (when it brokedown)..
and passengers also keep quiet and alight quietly -

anyway, if pay by cash and bus breakdown, u lugi a bit loh..
cos if pay by ezlink, the current trip will be free and u get breakdown ticket. Then u board the next bus and pay for the new trip for which u might have travelled quite some distance on the breakdown bus. so u might be paying S$0.65 for the new trip instead of S$1.35 or so..
But for cash passengers, u get back nothing loh, just another free ride on the next bus plus complimentary ticket.
For Ezlink Users
The current trip will be free if you follow the instructions to claim back the initial amount deducted:
Wait for the bus driver to switch the readers to the Breakdown mode.
Tap your ez-link card on the reader that is closer to the bus driver. This will credit back the initial amount deducted.
Collect a complimentary ticket from the bus driver. Ticket is valid for one month from date of issue and can be used for another trip.
Take another bus. You will need to tap your ez-link card upon boarding this bus and tap when alighting.
For Cash Paying Passengers
Collect the complimentary ticket from the bus driver and alight. Ticket is valid for one month and can be used for another trip.
When boarding the next bus, show the bus ticket to the bus driver and inform him that you were from a breakdown bus. -
