The steering of an Scania N113CRb is even lighter, even more easier to drive, contary to what SBS9888Y posted, many bndep drivers actually request to change from a Volvo to a Scania if their perm bus brakes down or is not available. U sure bo, the steering of an Scania N113CRB is lighter? I hear those young drivers on Svc 157 complained that the steering is hard. Most importantly, they complained the "vibration mode" in the bus. Scania is talking about BN BCs preferring to drive N113s as compared to B10Ms. There is no mention of them being better than O405. (BN dosent even have O405 now). You are sure protective of O405... He only says that the N113's steering is lighter then the O405's which I can't say for sure but I did see some S19, S29, S293 BC turing N113s at junctions with just one hand before. Oh and lighter steering does not equal to better bus. So, even if N113s have lighter steering then O405. Well, all that I could say is that the Mercs 0405 are ok with me, except for the ever sickening Volvo B10TL. The bus is so slow that almost one from each service plying TPE passed it. Took about 30 minutes to reach from Sengkang Flyover to Woodlands Interchange. The new B9TLs can tahan at 22 minutes, the Volvo B10M clocked in at 23 minutes, the Volvo Olympians are so-so at 20 minutes and Mark IIs can tahan at 19-23 minutes. I mean, the B10TL here are more slower than those in Hong Kong. They have different gearbox and power is also different.
For the Volvo B10M Mark IIIs, i think can tahan, but must improve in it's bus lighting. The interior seemed dark to me. Mark II have better interior lighting than Mark III. The best interior lighting are of course, the B9TLs.
BCs like B9TL because of it's roar in 2nd Gear. The bus have a comfy first gear and then into 2nd, got the roar of the powerful engine. The Voith B9TLs don't have the roar feeling and female BCs prefered them.
Scania is indeed the worst bus except for N113CRB NACs and CACs. OACs always make my head go around in circles. The NAC at least you have strong wind to ease the headache the shaky engine makes. I must confess that Scania N113CRBs sound more simillar to the DAFs.
Most Mercs are ok except for SMRT's Bendys and some 0405 OACs. Some bendys have this stink at the trailer cab. It smelt like somebody passmotion there. The 0405 OACs gives me a headache as the aircon is stuffy and the seats are dusty. The suspension is so-so.
The SMRT Hinos are the worst in the suspension department. The suspension is too stiff and the bus rattles the most while going over bumps. If you take it through a hump, trust me that someone's going to have a heart attack.

Believe it or not , that time i took a box bendy on 176 , someone actually passed motion there ! Think is stomachache or smth .... i didnt notice it until my mum told me .... then the poor BC have to drive the bus back to depot .
SMRT Hinos worst in suspension ? Hmm ... perhaps you might want to the Lances into account . Hinos aren't so bad IMO . Lances if you go over even a slight bump on the road at high speed , the bus receives a hard jolt . -
I think SBST shouldn't put VSOs (Voith) on svcs plying e'way. Not going to rate anything, but I think Svc 65 drivers like driving VSOs.
When I was on SBS9806J, SBS9814K was on the opposite side. Then the BC of SBS9814K gave a thumbs up, when he saw SBS9806J. -

As for the suspension, go try SBS 2696 E (HGDEP 151 Nokia bus) and let it pass thru several humps at around NUS area and see which one is more worst.. -

I was thinking quite the opposite for many posts.......
BCs like MKIIIs actually, at least for the HG BCs I asked, 0405s are also quite popular. They say both non-demanding buses, easy to drive.
