If you're rating depots by efficiency, BNDEP last (Recall the black patches that are so obvious on DDs? How many months did it take for the resolution of the black patch? Also recall B9TL deployment. How effecient was the depot management?)
Compared to BRBP, BNDEP effeciency was a let-down. EDS of 9810X on 143 on its initial days displayed TPY <--> Teban Gardens. Resolved within 6 days or less.
If you're rating depots by choingster buses, SLBP actually last (let me recall when a SLBP bus I took sped over 60. Maybe there are, but I haven't found yet)
If you're rating depots by number of crazy cameos (I think some are), that is crazy.
If you're rating depots by ride comfort, unfair due to the various models of buses. (recall C & C, how can you compare apple with orange, or compare taste of apple with the colour of orange and call it a difference?)
If you're rating depots by maintenance, I DARE SAY SLBP will somehow be on the upper half, or even top, while depots like BNDEP actually jia lat.
If you're rating depots by the friendliness level, you've to be friendly first and greet the BC. Only then do you have the right to say this BC rude, because he doesn't reply to your greeting.
If you're rating depots by how fast THEIR service guides appear/disappear, get a life.
If you're rating depots by how many chiongster buses in that depot, you're mad, I must say. That kind of rating is truly unreliable. -

I still think the bbdep drivers the worst. everytime take 99, all the bin chao chao, sometimes one of them keep asking people check card one. That one I hate, because of all the attitude one, the bbdep is the 2nd lowest, then the arbp lowest cos the driver also the same angry one. Like keep questioning people whether they are NS man or student or senior citizen. bbdep sucks arbp sucks even more. KNN. The clementi driver also like attitude one, people see the office outside the notice oso must ask, then oso threaten call police. KNN.

Maybe 2 questions for you:
1. Did you somehow smile at BC or greet him when boarding?
2. Were you standing suspiciously?
If you're talking about BC attitudes, I know more or less which services has friendly BCs:
7 (you can ask 233x of a BC along this route. BBDEP BC.)
51 (long route, so not as friendly)
52 (both sides, but AM ones are friendlier)
66 (careful. Another long route)
99 (actually, they are friendly. Even when you do something wrong, they advise, they don't scold. Weird)
105 (both sides.)
197 (both sides.)
334 (loads of friendly BCs along the route.)
506 (BC can ask you to come to front and chat with you about daily life. Happened to me on 1932E and 1936U)
Generally for as long as you give the BC a friendly smile, you should not be receiving unsatisfactory treatment.
*But if the BC doesn't give you that friendly treatment, perhaps exit somewhere far from his sight. Not a good day.

2. Why are you judging a depot based on only 1 service? :S
You consider checking cards to be a guideline to rate depot? Not very sensible I believe. You are criticising a depot because of a preventive measure the BCs take. Weird huh? In fact in ALL the buses I took with anyone, loads of people, (from all depots), why is it that I don't see them check cards so crazily as what you describe?
With the rise of terrorism, imagine if a non-BC were to be staring at a notice for BCs for close to 15 minutes. What would people think? Do not assume that the BCs know of the existence of bus enthusiasts. Remember, some come from Malaysia and have little idea of the Singaporean community. Their only ways to reach out are during their off days, going out to explore (do they have time? I don't know), reading of the papers, conversing with other BCs and perhaps passengers. I really don't think many BCs know so much about a bus enthusiast network around in Singapore, despite the fact that some of the BCs are bus enthusiasts themselves!
Maybe to help you out a little, smile at BCs. A smile goes a long long way. -

There used to be quite a lot. After all, my area hardly any service chiong. All those suay suay behind time then may have to do downtrip. No bus perm from any depot to chiong. :S -

well out of the many BCs ive spoken to...this is a rough average opinion of how they find B10TLs ranging between (SBS9800A-SBS9849K)... bus very slow..no strength if bus is packed...bus overall E braking makes bus quite unstable and worst of all if raining and driving the bus u gotta hold the steering tighter than the other models or it will slip off ur control...
Overall
WORST B10TL: brbp: SBS9830M - it seems like no one likes this bus at all...esp BR 31 & 143 BCs
WORST B10TL: bndep: SBS9843B - very jerky amid gear changes...and again no one seems to like this bus...esp BN 81 BCs...
for amdep cant really point which is the worst..if u guys know..u can share... -
in fact most bndep BCs dislike the VSOs..the only plus point is the aircon and overall suspension...brbp BCs like the VSOs over the LO3x only...because they downgrade le ...amdep BCs like the B9TLs and VO3xs...much more...
the B10TLs are nice just because of their interior and a/c to me... -
They shouldn't even put Voith into the B10TLs, should follow KMB and NWFB, put ZF. Agreed . ZF would have helped the VSO accelerate much faster .
