this kind of things .... i think the old man also dont want it to happen der . Surely he does feel embarrassed . I emphasized with him . But if he had already shat his pants before boarding the bus , i would say he is irresponsible . But if he shat his pants during the ride , i would feel sorry for him . Smelly old man allowed inside bus
It was on 51. Last Dec. On an LO3x.
I boarded the bus with my friends, and to our dismay, it smelt like faeces. Yes indeed, an old man was sitting at the front 3 seater. It seems to me, he did his business in his pants. The whole 1st level stink real bad. Some couldnt bear the smell and alighted. Some didnt even bother to continue boarding the bus.
But the saddest person was the driver. He opened his window and tries hard not to breathe the odour by sniffing his palm and fingers..
I dont know whether to side the elderly or the driver.
The old man looked healthy and can walk. Only problem was that he was dirty and smelly.
The driver allowed him to board but in the end affected the rest of the people along the journey.

Anyway , if i were you , i will side with the driver . As you said , the old man looked healthy and can walk . This goes to show that he was kinda irresponsible .
If i was the old man , i wouldn't even dare go out in the first place since i knew i had problems with controlling bowel movements . And i wouldnt even board a bus when i had shat on my pants . -

even if the SL of svc 961 decided not to allow the smelly old man to board, he should have refrained from saying things like telling him to board svc 178 instead. such remarks are selfish, insensitive and biased.
There's a limit to sympathy~
i don't think smelly people who soil themselves should be allowed onto public transport. it would dirty and stink the entire bus; the floor, seats, stanchions and handrails he ever touches it. By then how to clean the bus? coz of one person, the rest all suffers. even pax from subsequent trips would be affected. and even if faeces can be washed off the seat, it leaves a terrible smell on pax pants whoever sits on it!
perhaps the driver/pax should call the ambulance(?) so that appropriate agencies can be called in to tend to the dirty person?
but if an old man soil the bus midway through the journey, he should have alighted the bus and not continued travelling! and if a person knows he got such a problem, he should have worn the diapers when outing wat!
i think some taxi drivers also encounter such problems. what about onboard trains? -
I've talked to a taxi driver b4 about this and he encountered a situation whereby an old man had actually shat his pants and boarded the taxi . see what happens if they were kind enough to let them board... look at my earlier 51 experience.
everyone suffered...
driver cant drive properly, people start alightin, boarding passengers decide not to board. might as well not continue with the journey.
