854E also have standees. From what i see, 174e very successful leh. That time i was at BB East Ave 6 waiting for 985 then on the opposite side i see 3 X Sv174e chiong past within 23 minutes and all of them had a few standees.

After all, Singaporeans seem to see "E" and "Express" as fast without thinking. But 97e is rather quick. Saves time at NUH area. (by skipping the bus stops at North Buona Vista Road) Wonder why 963E stops opp NUH. :S -

In the first place, 506 target group is not from TPY to JE/BB. The target group of passengers are those staying in Bedok Reservior area.
Imagine im a resident staying in Bedok Reservior and i want to get to Jurong East. At least 506 can ensure me a faster ride than the Train and it can save me the trouble of transferring. i just need to note down the timing departing my house bus stop. Fares is roughly the same but though i may be paying more, at least i could ensure a seat on the bus rather trying to squeeze the ever crowded SMRT Trains. -

first bus - 0703 , last bus - 0726 (if im not wrong , will go check once more) -
