SMRT DAFs to have standee area

has gotten its seats remove.
The others will be done soon -
Good news ! That means svc like BBatok feeder svcs , 975 , 172 and other svc that uses DAF can carry more people now ! 975 especially , when going back to BP , always see the bus damm packed.

Saw this bus on 925 today.
The handrails can be seen from outside though. -

have they put up the new little sign above the driver's cabin seat to update the new licenced carrying capacity (eg ? sitting, ? standing)?

SMRT Bus all have flat floor & rear engines. Of course can have standee area.
For Volvo B10M that is technically impossible. As for the Scania N113CRB, all the seats are raised up. Only Mercs and VO3Xes were suitable for such arrangements. LO3X has the low air con units behind the exit doors. -
DAFS should be deployed on 190 then.. daf is like longer and got more seats

Well i have an objection to the DAFs having standee areas. For me, the DAFs already dont seem so crowded , (except on 172, 941, 945, 947 and 975). But making a standee would result in the bus getting more bumpy and this condition may make the DAFs just as bad as the L113CRL scanias. The Scanias have a stande area but it moves around too much as the walkway slopes upwards from the entrance steeper than it does on a SMRT Merc.
And even if a standee can have people. it can only hold from what i can see, 2-4 more people then the 4 seats? -

Dennis Trident also got standee right?? Anyway, how come bendies does not have standee on the first trailer? Technically impossible and how come some Dennis Lance (UMW Malaysia) have standee? Got one time I board this Dennis Lance (UMW Malaysia) on Ikea/Courts and Giant shuttle, it does not have standee lea but yesterday I saw one Dennis Lance (UMW Malaysia) on Service 853, it have standee... -

TIB Dennis Lance got standees whereas PA ones do not , this is because PA Lance never use for revenue service (except for 825 last time , which is now use busplus due to low demand) , only chartered and shuttle services. -
