966 had UDs today.
If im not wrong, its CSS 187 J
anyway,
at 915pm today,
190, TIB 1119 broke down at PIE lane 2 next to Eng Neo slip road.
this caused a major jam!
imagine if it was a UD instead. Lose face. -

1224 zoomed past not stopping,
1210 too crowded cannot board.

return this route to SBST if SMRT cannot handle....

This guy has a point... transport in BP is really very bad, and now, with UDs on 190, the situation for that service is even worse. What is very surprising is that this guy expect DTL to be up and ready in BP in an instant, build MRT of course must wait a few years mah! DTL won't help, people will find that going to Orchard is still faster with 190, no transfers. DTL won't help, people will find that going to Orchard is still faster with 190, no transfers. The former sticks rigidly to double-deckers while the latter sticks rigidly to bendies. I think SMRT had put a limit to bendy bus population as they occupy more road space, at bus-stops and bus interchanges. Why can't SMRT remove such mindset and purchase some double-deckers too? If popular svcs like 190,700,851,854,960 uses double-deck instead, such overcrowding problems would reduce significantly. Double-deckers can occupy a normal bus parking lot unlike bendies.
SBST svc 147 which deploy mainly double-deckers to serve such high pax volume is a good example.
What abt SBST svcs that would be better served using bendies where height restrictions prevent deployment of double-deckers? -

SMRT's facilities does not allow DDs to operate in the first place. People everytime complain about 190 in orchard...
the person who wait for 14 buses..? dun tell me he cannot board other buses like 700 or even 171..? 171 is long i admit but its better than waiting in the bus stop doing nonthing...
sometimes in the night 700A box merz behind still got place to sit while 190 is already standing at the door area -

Someone also pointed out that Habits are "heavier" than other bendies . The weight of the bus itself together with the large amount ot passengers being transported , places severe strain on the bus' drive train .
