Kindly explain on why you are taking photos. Most BC will just continue to do what they are doing and just leave you alone. Even if the BC scolds, NEVER get into a quarrel with them. Juz simply apologise. Always remember to smile or wave at them.. It Helps.Originally posted by patdog112:will the bc come down and ask u what r u doin or even scold u?

Drivers are becoming more alert of people taking photos of buses due to the July 7 incident happened in Europe (you get what i mean..). With the terrorism threat and all that happening around us, i dont blame the BC for being Kay Poh about ppl taking photos.Originally posted by MingFreeman:How come the bus driver will scold ?
Is it against the regulations or something?

could the "stop" sign be a friendly wave instead?Originally posted by TIB1049L:I still rmb a pic of SBS9888Y cameoing on 161 that my@jas took. The BC was signing "stop" but too bad it was too late![]()
Definately not. The driver looked paranoidOriginally posted by SBS3688Y:could the "stop" sign be a friendly wave instead?
i ever encountered photographing an SMRT bus at PIE Police Academy bus-stop a couple yrs back. The driver was not happy and raised his hand up towards me as if telling me off or trying to say what i'm up to. i just ignored him and then he drove off.
some times after sch i have a heavy bulky nike sch bag.. the police look at the bag a while then go off liao..but the procdure is like strict..nobody dare to play playOriginally posted by SBS3688Y:terrorists doesn't necessary need to take photos before they can blow up certain things. they can always memorise the buillding/facilities plan or layout and start from there.
most important thing to prevent terrorist acts is to look out for people carrying bulky items, haversack, etc. I've seen a couple of times some pax onboard eg svc 858 placing luggages at the standing area then moving away to sit right at the rear. What if it turn out to be bomb inside? A suicide terrorist preparing to sacrifice himself too? And the worst part is when the Changi Airport policemen went onboard the bus, they saw the big bulky items, just stare a while then alighted.
or what about people wearing thick clothings and looked abnormal? eg the thick clothing seemed rather heavy and looks suspicious?
IMO, such scenerios are much much worse than trying to pin down people photographing buses. and i believe a terrorist knowing the heightened security will always try to remain in very low profile and dare not go around photographing in the open la!
depends.some do some dunt.Originally posted by patdog112:will the bc come down and ask u what r u doin or even scold u?
