Does frequencies have to be high on a high-demand service?
BusSpeeder
I was "playing" with iris and was checking out and I was shocked to found this:
076 45 minutes (WAB) 55 minutes(WAB)
type 76 and search 55189. this was searched at 5 pm sharp, by now it should be 40 min - 50 min. really weird. can someone tell me why the frequencies suddenly became so high?

It may not be accurate sometimes

I once check... Next Bus: 10min.
I check again...it showed 3min.
I quickly walk towards the bus stop, then I check again, 12min.
Then around 1 min later, the bus came.

Frequencies have to be high (ie 1 to 5 mins) for ultra high demand services like 170, 190, 238, 960 and some of the townlinks/intratowns and all of Boon Lay's feeders, JIS, during peak hours.
Frequency can be around 5 to 8 mins durng peak hours for high demand services like some of the trunks like 76.

The thing about high demand is that it refers to a high number of passengers per unit time, so definitely x number of passengers have to be moved in a certain amount of time, thus it implies that frequencies have to be high too. This holds even with SMRTB's interpretation that one bendy = two rigids = half the frequency.
Iris is dependent on BC setting the AVMS correctly or else ghost buses would appear in the system or the bus would be 'invisible'. I boarded an 'invisible' bus on svc 39 before and the AVMS console showed -120....
