The law says that you have to be at least 21 years old with at least 1 year of good records before you can take Class 4. Althought Class 3 license can apply for BC job, but you eventually, you cant pass the course as you are not 21yrs old.Originally posted by patdog112:not suspended or what...

which one earns more....SBS/SMRTB driver or private one?Originally posted by AntiDennisLance:Class 3, after probational period (P-plate), clean record, 21 yrs old and above, can apply for BC job. Class 4A training can take place in the bus company. However, if you already hold a Class 4 or Class 5, it is believed that your 4A training will be sped up.
Class 4A is REQUIRED to drive PUBLIC (i.e. SBST/SMRT) omnibuses. Simply Class 4 or 5 won't do. Class 4A are issued only by the bus companies and are retained by the company when the BC leaves.
If you want to drive private bus, you can to go SSDC to take an independent omnibus test. Then, depending on the license you currently already hold prior to your omnibus test (Class 3/4/5), you can drive private omnibuses of the appropriate unladen tonnage limit (2.5t / 7.5t / > 7.5t).

SSDC's theory test is separate from the Class 4/5 practical. You don't need Class 4 or 5 to drive a bus. If you have the SSDC omnibus vocational license and a Class 3 license, you can drive a minibus 2.5t and below.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:SSDC only for theory test. but too bad they dont conduct training on Sundays - which i think is really bad. Many of these trainees are people who work 6-day wk and only got Off day only on Sunday. by then how to take Class 4/5 lesson or test???
