BBSS Students will most probably walk out to the main road (Jln Jurong Kechil) after school. In the morning, theres always 77A. -

its really best for them to do it this way. the bus is so empty during non peak hours, even if during peak hours, it will not be that full, at the most, until all seats are packed excluding students. if with students, a normal bus will supplement for it.Originally posted by ^tamago^:darts on 162 -

but seems like SMRT rather replace a 12m and put a bendy rather than getting more buses in to increase freq...

Actually 162 has greatly varying demand. During peak hours got lots of students and office workers, but during off-peak (eg weekday afternoon) the bus is super empty. A couple of DDs during peak hours would be good, but during off-peak, yes, Darts are a good choice.

162 definately needs at least 2 DDs during peak hours,77 just add 1 bus and increase the frequencies during PM peak will do and in future you will only see 90%rigids & 10% bendies for new SMRT Buses.They want peoples takes MRT>EWL/NSL & Circle lines.Many long haul will be shortened or withdrawn and many niche and short haul services will be introduced.
