smrt use capslock???? and i agree, its quite useful. but, not to inform them also good, as to avoid complains by some after seeing the message. this is for the jamOriginally posted by muziq bus:Have you seen these messages?
It can be seen on the red 'LED next stop info' in the interior of the SMRT buses.
Saw one displayin "WOODLANDS CHKPT JAM" on 903. UPPER CASE.
but as the bus approached the chkpt area, the msg disappeared as the jam started to clear.
In my opinion, its useful on board services like 190 and WDL feeders and the semi-express routes.
No flamming please.
the most common of course is the "Pls move to the rear"
there's also the "BUS BREAKDOWN, PLS ALIGHT"
and VO told me about the..."Welcome to the new AMK int"
They use CAPS for impt msg like the JAMS and BreakdownsOriginally posted by BusSpeeder:smrt use capslock???? and i agree, its quite useful. but, not to inform them also good, as to avoid complains by some after seeing the message

i remember that these messages are quite weird, sometimes they go haywire, next bus stop supposed to be this but the message show that, this happened before.Originally posted by off_service:Last week they were testing:
"Destination (Please move to the rear) *scroll* PLS MOVE TO THE REAR".
April 28: "New AMK Int Opens"
They also have "Road Diversion Ahead".
I believe the system is controlled by SMRT's own OCC. Hence providing real time updates during basic service timings.
OT abit, I wonder why some KJ/AMDEP and all WLDEP Habits are not fitted with the LED display.
Saw it as well... but don't think it will help muchOriginally posted by off_service:Last week they were testing:

It will work if the bus has a working LED next stop display.Originally posted by Y_Shun:btw, does the LED[Destination] works for yishun feeder bus?
Yeah , I think abt the New AMK Int thing shld be all 169 buses got on the day when the Int open ....Originally posted by muziq bus:Have you seen these messages?

also
the BKE JAM thing i seen it twice in fact , one on 190 and on 960.
Interesting. Very very useful LED display.Originally posted by TIB1062Y:And for yesterday (Saturday), i was onboard TIB636Z of Service 75 from Esplanade, and the LED showed "RAFFLES AVE BS SKIP"...
TIB 1184 D (WL 962) had shown "Road Diversion Ahead" for weeks before it was finally taken off. I'm still wondering what caused the message to be displayed back then.Originally posted by Donavan:Interesting. Very very useful LED display.
Shows jams, which stops skipped and others.
However, has there been mistakes in the messages so far? Like false reporting of a jam, say for example, at Somerset.
crash! this bus has crashed, please get out of the bus!Originally posted by QX5216J:wonder what does it show when the bus itself met an accident..

Originally posted by TWS4793:I think you saw the old LED, that one only shows **WELCOME ABOARD**(used to be**WELCOME ABOARD TIBS BUSES**) and **PLS MOVE TO THE REAR**. There is a difference between the new and old ones, old ones the sign is separated into different segments, one digit or letter will take one segment. Also old ones are smaller.
I saw caps on the EDS by SMRT while I was on the bendy TIB 1206A on Service 67.
It read, "**WELCOME ABOARD**" (if I'm not wrong).
