SBS7252U(SL 246) broke down inside Boon Lay Temp Int last night with Mech repairing near midnight.
Suspect front right tyre blown as the bus is tilted towards that direction, Mech jacked up the bus & removed the tyre. -

To normal laymen, buses are always SBS, and they dunno what's the diff between SBS and SBST, and let alone SMRT, they thought its train...

The only mistake they didn't make was the time of the drunk BC and 1173K, they named them correctly. -

Summary of accident/breakdown: Unknown
Details:
1. SBS 0756D was on Service 16, on its return trip to Bukit Merah when it broke down outside Suntec City along Nicoll Highway. No passengers were on board the bus during time of witness.
2. A SBS Transit tow truck was there to tow away the bus. -

Man dies in bus accident at junction in front of Tekka Mall
SINGAPORE: A man died after he was knocked down by a bus at the junction of Serangoon Road and Bukit Timah Road, in front of Tekka Mall on Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to the scene just before 12 noon.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead shortly after.
Channel NewsAsia understands that the man was a Nepalese student.
The bus driver is assisting police with their investigations. -

Close shave for triathletes, bus driver did not stop to check
A group of 20 cyclists training for an upcoming Ironman competition had a close shave on the road, when all of them fell while trying to avoid a TIBS bus and one of them was nearly run over, said STOMPer Edmund Oh.
"Routine morning training ride turned tragic for a group of triathletes training for the coming Aviva Iron 70.3," Mr Oh said in an email to STOMP on Saturday (14 July).
He said the accident happened at about 6.50am on Saturday, along Sembawang Road, 50 metres before Dieppe Barracks.
"A TIBS bus Service 169 (TIB 1055) moved out of the bus bay without checking blind spot.
"His action caused a group of 20 cyclists to brake or sway to the side to avoid crashing into the bus.
"Unfortunately, one of the cyclists could not react fast enough. He lost control and fell in front of the moving bus.
"Fortunately, the driver managed to stop the bus in time. Otherwise, with another metre or so, the fallen cyclist would have been run over and crushed to death by the bus," Mr Oh said.
He is also concerned that the driver did not stop to offer help.
"A few minutes later, the driver drove off without even checking on the condition of the cyclist or rendering first aid to the injured cyclist, as the bus should have a first aid box," said Mr Oh.
"Could the relevant authorities please explain whether the action of the driver is a common procedure practised by the company?
"Should drivers involved in an accident simply drive off without even checking on the condition of the injured party or rendering first aid to the victim?" he asked.
STOMP is contacting TIBs about this.

I saw this accident at Tekka mall there , passed by while on 960 (TIB1242U). Can see a pool of blood , which might indicate that death resulted from severe head injuries . -
A UMW Lance broke down at AMK there . Cant see rego .

Coach from KL to S'pore on fire on M'sian highway
A TRANSTAR express coach from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore burst into flames on the Malaysia highway on Sunday, according to a reader of The Straits Times online portal Stomp, Ms Esther Tan.
Ms Tan said 'all passengers escaped unharmed'.
Transtar Travel, a Singapore incorporated company, operates routes from Singapore to major cities in Malaysia.

SBS3605L of svc 155 broke down along Merpati Rd at 1240hrs. Destos weren't removed yet & rear engine cover was opened at the time of incident. -

SBS9038J(SLBP 174) which cameo on Service 30 broke down aft Bus Stop(Opp Blk 200) along Boon Lay Way, 2 Mech discussing beside the rear of the bus. -
SV30 uknown anybody can clarify forgot to take down the rego..
front door of the bus spoil... driver removed all destination plate and num plate in the back... pessenger in bus was not told to get down the bus.. -
SBS9049C had the opposite problem of breakdown yesterday (Monday).
BC told me bus cannot turn off, even if he pulls out the key.
Bus engine switched on from AM 6am+ non-stop till at night return back to depot after finishing both A and P shift.
Not bad though. A/C was cold...
