Lorry smashes into bus in Loyang accident
STOMPer Yusf got the shock of his life when a lorry smashed head-on into the back of the bus he was travelling in. He was commuting in SBS bus 19 along Loyang Avenue at about 3.30 pm on Sunday (15 July) when it happened. This impact resulted in the lorry being dragged a few metres by the bus.
This accident was described as 'traumatic' and 'shocking' by Yusf. He shares with STOMP, "I'm not sure how it happened. I just suddenly heard a loud bang, then this lorry was dragged a few metres together with the bus."
The 35-year-old operation assistant says that even though no one from the bus was hurt, he saw that the lorry passenger had his leg stuck under the dashboard.
The police told STOMP that they received a call at about 3.30 pm that day. They confirmed that the lorry passenger suffered leg injuries and was conveyed immediately to Changi General Hospital.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. -

The front part of the bus plus the front door were severely damaged. Even one of the exit door have fallen off as well.
not sure where/when/how it got into this accident.
Bus was seen parking at AMDEP with the damage front. . -

most likely 535A will go into lay up status also, cos it's ezylink readers have been removed.
534C is in non-user lay up status now, and all ezylink reader plus ticker dispenser removed.. 534C side not so much damage actually.. -

1. Someone (not going to mention who he/she is) sent me a SMS at 1512hrs, informing me that TIB 0494R was involved in an accident. The service number was not mentioned.
2. According to the person, he/she claimed that no passengers were hurt. The "right side was touching the car" and "car looks fine also".
Triva:
1. Was listed as my favourite bus recently.
2. I saw this bus at Lorong 1 Geylang Depot two days ago. -

Unidentified Scania L113CRL, service 970, brokedown along Jln Jurong Kechli, spotted at 5 Aug 2007, 1737hrs. The rear cover was opened. I was on SBS9125R, service 157 travelling with high speed, cannot see the rego clearly. This L113CRL with black coloured ad.

SBS9687K (HG 89) met with an accident along TPE (PIE) while on service 89 i guess? and the front part of the windscreen at the lower deck got smash badly and the front bumper plus the right headlight. The accident causes heavy jam along TPE towards PIE. -

According to the news, there is an accident near Old Tampines Rd and Hougang Ave 3 involving a MB0405(OAC DM). Suspect to be service 53 bus.

STOMP contacted the Police, which said: "Police received a call at about 6.15am about an accident between a van and bus service 53.
"The van driver, a man in his 30s, was sent to Changi General Hospital, with injuries to the head and legs.
"No passengers in the bus were injured." -
