187 getting more old Nissan buses

Seems tat 187 nowdays got lots of old nissan buses, any comments.....

I see 187's perm O405s & ELBOs on 187 at Boon Lay Temp Int everyday -

what i'll say is that SMRT shouldn't be so frugal and spend more on better maintenance and order new buses. the nissans are getting quite old and the buses are quite slow. once i rode a 853, 1 year back. the bus was ok. but the problem with nissans are that they are slow, some buses can overtake and the nissans can't even get closed enough. think it should be time for smrt to get new buses and to put it on high-demand services and also to replace the nissans like 178,190,853. or at least they should refurbish the nissans too so that it can still be used and won't make too much bad impression on other passengers. -
Might as well dump nissan on those staff service/worker transport and those bus plus route (825/590 and those condo shuttle)

UDs can go for Shuttle Services... Even the IKEA one...
If they can't even cope w/ public sv demand, by right they should be barred from taking Shuttle contracts -

Anyway service 825 once had OAC Nissan UD perms (TIB364H) if I am not wrong other than those Nissan Civilian mini buses (PH1529D and PH1530Z). Somewhere around 1999 it was replaced by PA Dennis Lances, but also with occasional Nissan UD cameos during this period. Service 825 switched to perm Bus Plus buses when Tibs merged with SMRT in May 2004. -

Actually I had been travelling on BKE towards Woodlands these few days, n somehow I noticed tat every buses on sv 187 travelling across the road always bound 2 be Nissan buses, sometimes got 2 Nissans one after another
