New EZ-Link Card Readers

  I was on SBS88Z (410), and they've replaced all 4 of the old blue/grey devices with dark purple/orange ones! They don't look different otherwise, just uglier.
  
  Hopefully they won't replace the rest of the existing ones unless they're spoiled.
  
  I didn't have my camera with me so don't ask for photos.
  
  Ed: Last letter should be Z, not X.

  SBS 7400J - SBS 7499A have these new ezlink card. 162 has one bus which has one of its readers replaced, most likely due to faultyness, and that bus is SBS 2811P. i forget the thread where someone said about the buses which has these new readers

  but they look nicer in the new B9Tls .

  Who knows they might just want to standardize the ez-link readers to the latest type onboard all buses in time to come

  I dun think 82P had new readers. Anyone with info can add.
  Hmm, the rear exit of TIB990A had one reader short of several screws, so the casing is effectively opened up and you can see a PCB board with several capacitors and electrical stuff inside.

  Not practical to repaint/resticker a reader, right? Somemore, the new reader is just as plastic-kish, no paint on it.

  I sat this bus this afternoon going home after school (SBS 88 White Plate service no. 410).
  The new-look card readers look more like toys.

  Well, i think one of the JB Mark IIIs have a grey coloured EZ-link card reader. The service with all it's fleet with new EZ-link card readers is:

  SBS1806L= Split-shift

  It's for corporate identity. Wonder what kind of reader SMRT Buses will have in the future.
