i mean that there are alway standby BC in depots right? not necessary standby a bus or bc lah. just use those SP bus at depots, if they are available. SBST must have contingency plan for this kind of situation. On tuesday, all YCK bus services were late, so i think it is difficult for them to help in the crossover as well. Maybe can take Sv 265 or Sv 268 buses in this case loh.. But for other premium services, not sure how SBST is planning loh.
If you are the passenger and the bus is late, u really dunno want to wait or not..

Sometimes this kinda situation has no choice... just suck thumb. SBST is already having manpower shortages. There's a very low chance for a BC not to be assigned to any services in the morning. In addition, there's a requirement for the depot to keep some spare bus for other purposes. Maybe like what you said, take out a spare bus from depot, is not a problem. The problem is finding a BC who knows the Premium route to drive it. -

tdy i takes 535, i observe the lovely jam. the singaporean car drivers love gettign stuck in yellow boxes ( i mean driving onto a jucntion yewllow box n stop there in jam when its not in ur favor) .
the observations had been reflected by sv966 when he tried 585 few days back as well.

The jam on Wed at Robinson Rd was really bad, most of the Premium svc passengers alighted and walked as walking is faster than the bus

The jam boils down to the Cross St/Robinson Rd junction where inconsiderate car drivers hogging the yellow box even when the signal is red, thus causing Robinson Rd traffic to come to a standstill as when its their turn to move, they need to wait for the Cross St traffic at the yellow box to clear before they proceed on.I agree today's traffic is much much better.. Its the 2nd Friday to have smooth traffic.
