Putting WAB at int? (For show?) btw, why not higher passenger flow? Actually PIW are everywhere.. SBST should not just concentrate only on one areas.. Since they are replacing fleets but it would not be fast.. Actually Singapore is already very late in building facilities for PIW.. U r not a person in PIW, u would not know how disappointed if where u r staying does not have any buses services u can take but u got to wait and wait and also waste more money by taking cab.... Think about others and not thinking about urself or this cannot that cannot.. Time means money, nt everything can wait.. -

SBST already stated that they will consider which service deserve to be WAB ...
services that passes through polyclinics , elderly state , hospital linking them back home
they have their own reasons why to deploy on certain SVs -
Actually svc 99, svc 174 and some other services fulfill this but dunno why they deploy until like that.. Nvm la, let's see how they deploy the K230UB.. The thing is, SBST did approach the non-profit organizations before deploying the WAB. If they didn't had, you'll probably see one or two on each service.
Demographic figures are also another factor. West side has less people staying in, and generally, they would deploy less WABs in places whereby there are less people living in, cos usually the no. of proportion of PIWs to the total number of people living in Singapore would be the same if you compare it with the East and West. This is one reason why they have more WAB services in the east cos its an undeniable fact that there are more people living in the East and ceteris paribus, there would be more PIWs. -

Pls explain the high passenger flow in Boon Lay everyday.. Btw, can show me the link of the statistics showing how many people living in each district? -

Boon Lay's high passenger flow is due to factories. Do you think there are that many PIWs working in factories? -

1) Has a High demand
2) Passes Medical Institutions
3) Passes a Few (3-4) Places in the City or Major Heartland Town Centres / Other Transport Networks
3) Big Number Of Elderly (They Prefer Low-Floor)
4) Number of Elderly Uses
S157 has an ok-ok demand comparatively to e.g S33, S105 or S502
and S157 is often empty after Jurong -

Actually between S174 and S157, S174 is likely to get it. Firstly S174 and S157 plies Bt Batok and Bt Timah together, so its an either or thing. Secondly, S157 has S198 along Jurong East/West Ave 1. S97 S197... S198 already plies AYE. So these 2 have very low chance of getting. S97 has S51 S143 S196 along its route to serve PIWs. S197 has S196 S2/S12 S7 S76 to serve along its route.
So I believe how SBST will deploy the K230 is based on one or more of the following factors
1. Full SD Fleet (15 16 19 24 26 29 33 36 48 53 54 63 73 105 139 145 156 158 159 etc)
2. Town served for connection to other current WAB services elsewhere say Chinatown, Bugis, Orchard or Shenton Way
3. As what u said earlier the polyclinics the centres and what-have-you. -

This service doesn't go through any polyclinics or health facilities, just pure industrial areas. To say the truth I've never seen any PIW in these areas before.
Also there are other WAB services along it's route to help with loads, namely services 2, 21, 51, 72, 88
Service 25 should be getting low floor buses and not WABs for the moment. -
