If that is the case, why did SBST bother to come up with CT8 CT18 CT28 in the very first place ?Originally posted by chickenlittle2:some places like marine parade and toa payoh are mostly elderly.. Elderly mostly stay at home..
Originally posted by service_238://Oh really .. Then More people staying in that areas =/= higher chance of putting WABs.. and also More people staying in that areas =/= higher chance of people taking public transport..

actually they dun really go out everyday la.. Only someday in a week.. When they go out they got to spend money..Originally posted by sBs_boy:If that is the case, why did SBST bother to come up with CT8 CT18 CT28 in the very first place ?
Actually svc 99, svc 174 and some other services fulfill this but dunno why they deploy until like that.. Nvm la, let's see how they deploy the K230UB.. Maybe at that time we can talk about this again like which B9TL should be out and which K230UB should be in..Originally posted by patdog112:SBST already stated that they will consider which service deserve to be WAB ...
services that passes through polyclinics , elderly state , hospital linking them back home
they have their own reasons why to deploy on certain SVs
Can you spell out your "some other services".Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Actually svc 99, svc 174 and some other services fulfill this but dunno why they deploy until like that.. Hahaz, but u see many current WAB service actually pass by the west side..Originally posted by Scania:The thing is, SBST did approach the non-profit organizations before deploying the WAB. If they didn't had, you'll probably see one or two on each service.
Demographic figures are also another factor. West side has less people staying in, and generally, they would deploy less WABs in places whereby there are less people living in, cos usually the no. of proportion of PIWs to the total number of people living in Singapore would be the same if you compare it with the East and West. This is one reason why they have more WAB services in the east cos its an undeniable fact that there are more people living in the East and ceteris paribus, there would be more PIWs.
I can list but cannot spell ... They areOriginally posted by Scania:Can you spell out your "some other services".
I don't think you would see like Town A 20% more people take train or taxis or car than Town B, most towns would have around the same percentage of people taking buses.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Hahaz, but u see many current WAB service actually pass by the west side..Like I say earlier, I dun really think the population equal the no of people taking public transport and even buses.. If we are talking about the people are less in the west? Pls explain the high passenger flow in Boon Lay everyday.. Btw, can show me the link of the statistics showing how many people living in each district?
not sure about the east side but jurong west is definitely an high populated so we can't necessary say that the population in the east is higher than the west.......Originally posted by Scania:The thing is, SBST did approach the non-profit organizations before deploying the WAB. u hafta be kidding meOriginally posted by chickenlittle2:Svc 157
JIS wat... see if its the same when BLE opens, n maybe JK Ter?Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Pls explain the high passenger flow in Boon Lay everyday..
Actually between S174 and S157, S174 is likely to get it. Firstly S174 and S157 plies Bt Batok and Bt Timah together, so its an either or thing. Secondly, S157 has S198 along Jurong East/West Ave 1. Chances are that PIWs seldom transfer buses due to the hassle of waiting and what nots.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:u hafta be kidding me
if S157 is WAB, you trying to imply that S154 and even S252 should be WAB also
i think services like S97 and S197 are still better than S157
seriously i don't see your point at all
its a pity, well if you become SBST deployment controller, we'll see all the VO2x in the EAST
S157 has an ok-ok demand comparatively to e.g S33, S105 or S502
and S157 is often empty after Jurong

So what have you done here?Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Think about others and not thinking about urself or this cannot that cannot..
haiz.. How can u compare svc 157 with svc 333, svc 105 and svc 502.. It is an obvious that u nv take svc 157 quite often..Originally posted by SBS9888Y:u hafta be kidding me

the reason that SBS Transit deploys its WAB on cetain routes are based on the following factors from most important to least
1) Has a High demand
2) Passes Medical Institutions
3) Passes a Few (3-4) Places in the City or Major Heartland Town Centres / Other Transport Networks
3) Big Number Of Elderly (They Prefer Low-Floor)
4) Number of Elderly Uses
S157 has an ok-ok demand comparatively to e.g S33, S105 or S502

I had make my statement clear and would try to help SBST to improve their service..Originally posted by ngjy22:So what have you done here?

The population in the East is far more higher than that in the West. Check the statistics.Originally posted by ah-soh:not sure about the east side but jurong west is definitely an high populated so we can't necessary say that the population in the east is higher than the west.......
