Actually I dunno why suddenly we are far away from our topic. Anyway, chickenlittle2 is nt my nick and it is my username.. I just put that name for fun.. By the way, talking about the communter in the west. Beside work, can u tell me how many schools, university and Polytechnic in the west? also, those educational institutions in Singapore are rather evenly spread out. We dont see 200 schools in boon lay but only 30 in Changi.
Jurong is so crowded is only thanks to the industrial estate, and not because its a "centralised" location. many flats there are vacant or only rented to foreigners.
and, the west really has few interchanges. in your definition of Jurong West Boon Lay and SLBP , seems theres only Boon Lay Interchange/MRT to serve the large chunk of human traffic.
pity, other areas in singapore has more than 1 MRT or interchange to serve that area except.. the "west" -

If not where to enough bus to serve yr west.. Those ppl not staying in west can just walk.. hahaha... Cus other than west, there is no ppl, no sch, no poly, etc.. haha -
Wah... so that means there's not going to be any future development in the other parts of Singapore other than the WEST area, is it?!? Means all the future depots, shopping malls, HDB buildings, Condos, etc can ONLY built at Western side of Singapore is it?!? Actually if u see the recent news, other than the latest plan for punggol and queensway.. Now, they are trying to develop JE as a new CBD district.. The western side plan was proposed and planned a few years ago.. Of course I not saying that the Northeast side no good but they are fully occupied with buildings.
