STOMPer mistyblue saw this bus driver trimming the leaves which were getting in the way of the double decker at Bishan bus terminal last Saturday morning (14 July), and the worry is he might slip and fall.
"The driver was holding a cutter and standing at the top of the double decker bus cutting the branches of the tree," the STOMPer said in an email on Wednesday (18 July).
"Think it was because the branches were getting in the way of the double decker buses which was why he went up to trim the branches," the STOMPer said.
"But what is worrying is that he did not seem to have any safety ropes on him or any safety devices to prevent him from falling."
The STOMPer wonders if pruning trees is part of a driver's job.
"Shouldn't these kinds of things be done by the contractors, instead of bus drivers?
"It's such a dangerous thing for him to do. What if he were to accidentally slip and fall. Shouldn't something be done to prevent possible accidents from such acts?" the STOMPer asked.
STOMP is contacting SBS on this.
