SMRT can deploy trains at 2 to 4 mins, they had 1 1/2 mins in the past, currently peak hour is 2 to 4 mins. They just think that peak hour is 7 to 9 am , 5pm to 8pm, other times off peak, then now off peak trains packed. SBS Transit and MTR are so much better.Originally posted by carbikebus:SBST is SBST pls dun compare,As both Bus & Rail fan we should think of ways to improve not criticise. You know there are unseen reasons why SMRT trains can't deployed at 2-4 mins interval.
Yeah, MTR can support 1 min frequency in peak. Before the PSDs were installed, before a train fully left the platform, you could already see the headlights of the next train in the tunnel! And the MTR system is 10 years older then SG's MRT.Originally posted by Scania:SMRT can deploy trains at 2 to 4 mins, they had 1 1/2 mins in the past, currently peak hour is 2 to 4 mins. Whatever it is they have reasons to do that.I also can say bullet train is the best of all.PeriodOriginally posted by Scania:SMRT can deploy trains at 2 to 4 mins, they had 1 1/2 mins in the past, currently peak hour is 2 to 4 mins. Ah their reason would be that demand isn't there, crap, they are maximising profit, but this is done at the consumer's loss. This isn't the way SBS Transit, TIBS, MTR do it. The three examples provide good service, good frequency and still able to earn profits.Originally posted by carbikebus:Whatever it is they have reasons to do that.I also can say bullet train is the best of all.Period![]()
It's the PTC proposal,Not SMRT.SMRT will try hard to increase the frequencies but everytime PTC audit they will be always at loss,UnderstandOriginally posted by Scania:Ah their reason would be that demand isn't there, crap, they are maximising profit, but this is done at the consumer's loss. Why would PTC try to restrict the frequency? I thought they are trying to improve public transport so less people will use cars?Originally posted by carbikebus:It's the PTC proposal,Not SMRT.SMRT will try hard to increase the frequencies but everytime PTC audit they will be always at loss,Understand![]()
