@ Hougang, it takes just 17 mins to Dhoby Ghaut or 22 mins to Outram ParkOriginally posted by muziq bus:yes but i didn't mention those 2.... At least CCK and BP has got fast services to Orchard & town.
And please la ppl, the load of pp on 190 is huge. 2min intervals not enough. Same case as London's 73.
and I make transfers at these 2 towns daily with no problems. The only delay I had was last week on 190(pm peak BP to CCK) waiting time was 7min. Then 2 bendy came. but da Red EDS inside claimed that there was "Jam at PIE".
Yeah,Only you really notice it.I've also notice a lot of broken/Faded plastic destos as well.Originally posted by sbst275:These days the EDS all rosak like crazy
Seriously, I have fewer or no complaints for SBSTRANSIT. I can practically go most places from Buona Vista via SBSTRANSIT buses. And on those high demand services like SBST196,198, you hardly seen any single deck busesOriginally posted by muziq bus:that is an understatement.
i dare say other towns too have other crappy services.
don't just close one eye toward sbst.
i have had unpleasant encounter with their services too.
Who is getting the new buses? SMRT?Originally posted by carbikebus:Because PTC,LTA SBST & SMRT are majority owned by a famous old man my friend. Its ironic that SBST & SMRT are listed private..

AMDEP>Truly not enough standby SLs/SLs/Technician

I feels that year 08 will improved as the new buses will rolling in![]()
198 still got random single decks.Originally posted by iamgoondu:Seriously, I have fewer or no complaints for SBSTRANSIT. I can practically go most places from Buona Vista via SBSTRANSIT buses. And on those high demand services like SBST196,198, you hardly seen any single deck buses
And it even introduces new services 48 and 185 to further enhance greater accessibility in BV.
Do you expect SMRT to introduces bus services from BV to Boon Lay to compete for it rail services?
Likewise do you expect SMRT to introduces new bus services from SEMBAWANG to ORCHARD? Too bad, the territory thingy is restricting SBSTRANSIT from further expanding it bus services. If SBSTRANSIT was not restricted, I believe it would rather ply services from SEMBAWANG to ORCHARD rather from BV to UPPER EAST COAST.
Why you rant at me by the way mr Goondu?go and voice out your unhappiness at your MP.I just voice out the actual fact.absurd or not is aint my problem.anyway it's hard pleasing singaporeans so i expected this kind of statements, periodOriginally posted by iamgoondu:Who is getting the new buses? Having new buses with out bc, so what? The buses still sitting in the depots. Anyway I found the reason that there is no bus captains for the buses is absurd.
If you can't find cashiers for the supermarkets, are you going to close for the day? If you can't find cashiers for your supermarkets, will it stop you from tendering or looking for shop space?
SBS Transit main bussiness is bus operations with a lot of buses and BCs while the so called SMRT Buses focus mainly on rail bussiness whether we'll like it or not.If BPJ/CCK/BBT are to be handed over back to SBST it's the authorities bussiness. What now we can do is complain and more complainsOriginally posted by iamgoondu:Seriously, I have fewer or no complaints for SBSTRANSIT. How i wish,Then after that peoples will start complaining about SBST.Funny sialOriginally posted by phillipC:K N N SMRT. Give up the bus operations to SBST if you show no interest!![]()
Lol. Actually, I stay near that area too. I am staying nearer to Serangoon CC. I feel that our area though there is no MRT line plying there, it is rather convenient in terms of bus network. There are a lot of options and besides, there are buses that link up to all the three MRT lines currently NSL, EWL and NEL and also CCL in the future. This is probably due to the well planned bus routes by SBST.Originally posted by ngjy22:Agree! I only need to use one service to go to a place or at most 1 transfer and at least 1 SBST svc needed to connect to 1 of the SMRTB svc. I'm not frequent on SMRTB.

If I am running SMRT, I would rather hold on to my bus business. At least for sure SBSTRANSIT will not grab away my rail passengers in Sembawang, CCK and BP.Originally posted by phillipC:K N N SMRT. Give up the bus operations to SBST if you show no interest!![]()
Not true for people living in CCK. Thus they prefer to take 190 or 700 to Orchard/Chinatown/Shenton Way.Originally posted by muziq bus:of course you don't frequent SMRTB. There ain't many of their buses there!
cos they didnt intro to your town, u hate the whole company.

faster town connection.
my time aint cheap like you SBS fanatics out there.
Why would I hate the company? I am spitting facts. I have been staying in HV for years and had seen the changes SBSTRANSIT and SMRT have brought to us.Originally posted by muziq bus:of course you don't frequent SMRTB. There ain't many of their buses there!

They have a reason to reduce frequencies, which is to force people to take the LRT/MRT. The LRT isn't doing very good and is getting subnormal profits according to the latest financial report. So they need to force people onto the LRT. When this happens, you will find that they would need to divert bus passengers to LRT. So you get reduced frequencies.Originally posted by tanjun:Not true for people living in CCK. Thus they prefer to take 190 or 700 to Orchard/Chinatown/Shenton Way.

Sometimes, it's not true! Like I took 157 and 132 last time, it's only about 1 hr 30 min, about the same as bus transfer train. If I go to City Hall, taking 147 only takes about 50 mins without transfering MRT, if compare with train, it's about the same too!Originally posted by muziq bus:of course you don't frequent SMRTB.
