This is what I suffered yesterday together with a lot of Indians at Little India bus stop waiting for Service 960 towards BPJ/WDL:
- Reached Little India MRT Station bus stop @ 10:22pm.
- From 10:22pm to 10:43pm waited for a svc 960 bus to come.
- TIB 1088 Z / TIB 1242 U came at 10:43pm, SKIPPED Little India MRT Station bus stop.
- From 10:43pm to 11:00pm, waited for another svc 960 bus to come.
- TIB 1066 L came at 11:00pm, letting pax to alight before traffic light at Little India MRT Station bus stop, after that, when green light le, it SKIPPED my area bus stop AGAIN!!
- From 11:00pm to 11:13pm, waited for another svc 960 bus to come,
- TIB1161U came at 11:13pm, finally can managed to board the bus.
- Bus reached after Newton Circus bus stop, SL open all 3 doors, then he proceed to the most rear exit door, ask people to move to the back.
- After that when he came to the middle exit door (I'm standing around that area), he scolded us in quite an angry tone and he said "CANNOT MOVE ah?!?"
In summary, total waiting time for Service 960 is 51 minutes!!

I agree with some of Mal comments,Make S75,S77,S106 & S960 loops @ Suntec to increase the frequencies and let the poor SLs have a bit longer break at their own respective Int.S171 can terminate at MCT.Originally posted by service_238:If you ever notice any SMRT diversions at the Suntec/Marina Centre area, ZERO of their services ply that area. They make their bus services become loop services. Given their already few buses running per route, having their buses going to Suntec/Marina Ctr will add journey time and longer than the already long frequencies that they have.
And with that they no need to deploy TIs around the area to guide buses, just put one at the Bras Basah Rd (Raffles Hotel) bus stop will do.
Yes SMRT is smart... at conserving resources... at the expense of the many blur commuters out there.
However that doesnt mean SBST was all too perfect. There wasnt any TIs at Temasek Ave (Carrefour) bus stop. I saw people left the bus stop after reading the poster at the bus stop pole. Apparently only S36 and S518 serves that bus stop during road closure.
Fortunately they allow boarding and alighting activities along its diverted route. Example is S36 towards Orchard skips the entire Suntec/Marina Centre area completely. Part of the reason is that Suntec has S111 that brings them to Orchard so bus links wise isnt lost. Only people that were inconvenienced were the pax from Marine Parade and Airport that want to go to Suntec/Marina Centre. Thankfully they can alight at Beach Rd and walk over.
Anyway with this kind of diversions SBST gets more revenue from blur pax
SMRT also stationed 1 TI at Empress place just for the sake of Service 75Originally posted by service_238:If you ever notice any SMRT diversions at the Suntec/Marina Centre area, ZERO of their services ply that area. Of course la. SMRT wont touch your area. Territory thing what.Originally posted by iamgoondu:Why would I hate the company? I am spitting facts. I have been staying in HV for years and had seen the changes SBSTRANSIT and SMRT have brought to us.
After taking over SBSTRANSIT 5 and replace it with SMRT970, they call it enhancement! My foot.
And worst remove SSB602 with no replacement.
Last Saturday, spotted a Scania ELBO(Sv 857) over at Suntec(Fountain of Wealth) at around 7-8pm where the road over at Raffles Ave was closed due to the NDP Rehearsal. The BC looked blur to me.Originally posted by carbikebus:I agree with some of Mal comments,Make S75,S77,S106 & S960 loops @ Suntec to increase the frequencies and let the poor SLs have a bit longer break at their own respective Int.S171 can terminate at MCT.
Other than that we must always think that not everything will go according to our desire.I also encountered waiting for more than 12 mins for S2 during peak hours still i wouldn't complain much as i've ever experience driving Public buses before even though i'm a part-time one now.I believe starting next year SMRT Buses will improve. For this feedback about S106 & 960 i and other union commitee have already forwarded to our corps comm department for further investigation.
I would not expect SMRT to offer new services in BV, however at least provide more consistent and more frequent services in all their routes.Originally posted by muziq bus:Of course la. SMRT wont touch your area. Territory thing what.
That statement you made shows your resentment towards SMRT.
Simply cause they didnt do anything to improve your network.
It's SBST area, so let SBST do their own thing.
That was all i meant.
SBS would have extended 365 to CCK St 62 via Kranji Camps if they still had control over NW side.Originally posted by muziq bus:Of course la. SMRT wont touch your area. Territory thing what.

and the history behind 5.
they took over, and then withdrew it cause it didnt made much anyway.
but that was a mistake cause it made some pax unhappy,
so they re-intro and editted the route to end at Shenton instead of Geylang.
This way, more benefits on both sides.
Also, 970 was made to enter Hillview, Bt Batok, Bt Timah.
5 was dry. So changes were made.
i know nothing bout 602, all i know, my grandma complain but she went on to depend on other SBS alternative and train.
see, i dont care bout other town as well, cos i am happy that both SBST and SMRT run in my area.
SBS didnt make changes to 365 to ply St 52. MP suggested but they claimed road too small. At least TIBS did something to improve image. SMRT also later improved on that.

But SBS added 506, 174e, add DDs to 174
TIBS added 989, 985 enhanced 945
SMRT added 963e (which i am thankful for), 188e, 77A, add bendies on 189
at the end of the day, i have no complains about any company.
just that having two operators doing their own thing is a benefits for residents in BB.
cant say much bout yew tee though.
And tell me where are your sources?Originally posted by iveco:SBS would have extended 365 to CCK St 62 via Kranji Camps if they still had control over NW side.
please lor, SBS rejected feedbacks for 365 back then..claiming that ppl were satisfied.....Originally posted by iveco:SBS would have extended 365 to CCK St 62 via Kranji Camps if they still had control over NW side.
You know what is "Extra Rice" means?Originally posted by Scania:And tell me where are your sources?
Back then, there was no SAFPU and ALTC in CCK Way. Only 4 SAB and 21 SA. Converting 365 to inter-town and making it ply CCK Way outside the new army camps, looping @ CCk St 62 in the opposite direction of 307 would have improved connectivity. Unfortunately, this will not happen anymore.Originally posted by muziq bus:please lor, SBS rejected feedbacks for 365 back then..claiming that ppl were satisfied.....

At least 328 was extended to SER when HGN South closed down.

there was talk some time ago that SMRT is gonna purchase s'pore's 1st SD WA buses...
i havent heard anymore news for like over half a year... anyone care to enlighten on the buzz of that? has SMRT desided on the design and anybody has pics?
haha no i didnt... when was that? in the army now... u know the army la.. no time for anything...Originally posted by sBs_boy:Haha..
Didnt read news ah ? SBST beat SMRT in 1st SD WAB liao..
You must understand the fact that , SL are also humans. They have attitudes and feelings. From what i know , SMRT SLs can have godly tight schedules . Whenever a human is under tremendous stress, he/she can display bad behavior . Not all SL i know shows attitude. Even SBST does have such incidents , not always SMRT.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:I'm quite pissed off with those SMRT bus drivers' attitude when I photographing SMRT Buses along public roads. There's one who kept flashing on his headlight and I managed to glance at him and he looked damned angry! What's wrong with photographing buses along public roads? Don't we bus fans got the right to photograph even on public roads? They behaved as if its their grandfathers' roads! WTH!!!
At least SBST had officially replied to me there's no restriction to us photographing buses along public roads.![]()

Lolx... Don't forget my SBS 3600 A on Service 125 incident at St Mike... Driver even stop the bus (with passengers somemore) and walked towards me which is the opposite side of the 1 way road.. 1st of all they find it weird if someone snapping bus photos.2nd they think you want to nitpick them by snapping their photos for complain etc..You should at least give a thumb up gesture to assure them nothing malicious is going on.I've feedbacks from several Wldep/Kjdep about similiar matter.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:I'm quite pissed off with those SMRT bus drivers' attitude when I photographing SMRT Buses along public roads.
