The ironic thing is that
SMRT passed all the criteria set by PTC for now
while SBST failed two of the criteria

Increase bus fare but the poor folks in Bukit Panjang still have 2 stand on 190,700,960 all the way to city, is tt fair?
SMRT should divest its bus svcs to SBST coz the mgt ONLI noe hw 2 build retail space in MRT stations n yet nt listen 2 SMRT commuters grouses. ev month, there will b sme1 complaining abt either 855,190 or oth svcs...

People...there's really nothing we can do...as said, it's a norm already. all i can think of to oppose such a move is by gathering support and boycott them or strike(??) against them... ...but of course, we all depend on them very heavily to get to our destinations.

LTa will tell you ,if you want "real time bus arrival system",you have to prepare to pay more.

if you decided to take taxi for life, you are basically throwing more money to the same place. -
They shouldn't fine them if they fail service standards. After all, the fine goes back to government, those companies already belong to the government.
Since they raised the bus fare, the extra money earned comes from commuters. In the event that they fail service standards, they should return the money back to the commuters.
If they can't meet service standards, they should give all commuters a discount of 40 cents on all bus rides for 1 year. If they fail service standards again, they will need to give us 40 cents discount for another 1.5 years.
This way, they can feel the pinch. Paying fines to government does not make sense, since those transport companies already belong to the government.
Like take from right pocket put into left pocket.

This is quite a critical problem lor , i cant imagine 1 trip extra 30c , let say 2 trip/day at most i have to spend extra $20 per month
Price of everything rise without reason , and i working one pay never rise leh
previously $$$ already not enuff liao , now price tag so big , salary no change , how am i going to survive on !!!!

i dun see any improvement leh even after so many fare hike. the buses and trains frequency are still as lousy as before making it always so pack when it finally arrive. on top of that, they always got the approval to raise the fare even though the performance is still the same.
