I started in when i was 3/4 yrs old when I lived in Whampoa. My parents frequently brought me around on buses and pointed out interesting stuff and I started looking forward to bus trips. Also, I lived in a terrace house and buses zoomed by the house everyday. Thus, I became interested in them. I started remembering the buses that I take frequently, like 122 which goes to some huge shopping centre. The longest bus trip that I took was 21 from st michael to pasir ris, when my grandma took me to a huge park (which I knew later to be pasir ris park). I also rmb that my house is a distance from the bus-stop and my grandma always asked the driver to stop by the side of the road outside my house to let us alight. The drivers always acceded to this request so much so that I used to think that it is normal to do so. Haha.

I soon shifted to tp and got exposed to even more buses. The interchange was like heaven to me-so many buses around. I had to take 56 weekly to Middle Rd for some lessons and I memorized the route unknowingly. I still remember some of the reg no. to be SBS 530, 531, 540 and 541. I also rmb this driver that drives one of the SD. He drives smoothly and always waits patiently for ppl running after the buses. Most importantly, he always arrives on the dot, not a minute late, not a minute early. I saw him still driving a SD 56 a few days ago.
A few years ago, when bus guides came out, I started poring over the guides and a road directory and my scope expanded outside of tp. I never know kallang bahru/ boon keng is actually so close to Jalan Besar as kallang bahru belonged to the 26/31 side and jalan besar belonged to the 139/145 side. My family thought I had gone haywire up there, spending so much time on bus guides.

I got introduced to this forum recently, and realised that im not alone. There are actually other fellow Singaporeans with 'wrong electrical connections up there'. Haha...
