Successor? Not the whole route is 608 lah.Originally posted by tintinspartan:Yes, 16 is now the successor of Service 608.
I dun think all will be from BN those SPs will not be enough. Theres 6 OAC Scanias, 1 MK2, 7 Mk4s = 14 buses... and they can't use all the SP buses anyway. But now theres no point for speculation... its all up to sbst anyway. what can we do? See how it goes tomorrow lah...Originally posted by SBS9888Y:It will probably be a total handover from arbp to bndep just like Service 159 from amdep to hgdep..this time is for bbdep/arbp to replace their Mark IIs... thats why bndep has been getting so many SP buses lately
maybe they can use DD? but i doubt it can be used because it plys stadium walk and stadium cres.Originally posted by 566117:I dun think all will be from BN those SPs will not be enough. the limit is at merdeka bridge, where the bus has to go under it and the height limit is 3.9m? correct me if im wrongOriginally posted by BusSpeeder:maybe they can use DD? but i doubt it can be used because it plys stadium walk and stadium cres.
3.3m, it will use SD only, high chance dual depot controlOriginally posted by 566117:the limit is at merdeka bridge, where the bus has to go under it and the height limit is 3.9m? correct me if im wrong
Ever heard of BNDEP dumping those NAC Scanias on feeder services and extracting those permers under feeder services out? That might be the case, if the whole of Sv 16 goes to BNDEP, which I doubt so (should be ARBP + BNDEP).Originally posted by 566117:I dun think all will be from BN those SPs will not be enough. 196 been at bedok for how many years liaoOriginally posted by No_10_Tomas:it's good that 16 become a bi-directional svc cos its route is too long for looping
many years back 16 terminated at marine parade terminal, was actually extended to changi airport for a short spell before it was truncated to loop at siglap rd
i hope after 16 and 196, 76, 135 and 155 can be subsequently extended to bedok/upp east coast or tampines to become 2-directional service cos of long and tedious journey
Bro, wat time u c the bus? i sat at the bus stop since 0600hrs till SBS859R{arrive at 0545hrs}[1st bus from Bedok Int? or down route from Marine Parade Rd?] return from Bukit Merah Int... with SBS2823E slottin in at about 0745hrs along Marine Terrace...Originally posted by SBS2671B:Saw a BN (Needs clarification) buses on 16 today
SBS633A (BN 31)
--> KFC Side ad, unless AR has an MK3 with that ad
maybe minority control

Dun think will happen cos Bedok int is really full now. I dun think it has space to accommodate some more new services. Now, Bedok int has the most number of bus services which has 26.Originally posted by No_10_Tomas:it's good that 16 become a bi-directional svc cos its route is too long for looping
